Something different now, a little break in my colorful Dubai cityscapes. I felt it had more impact in B&W. The buildings on the background are Dubai Marina (where I live) & Jumeirah Beach Residence.

From my beginning in photography, i was dreaming to take photo of lone tree.
During long time i don't finding what i want .
I finding this tree in the Pyrénées mountains, it is perfect like my wishing ...
I taking this photo during the winter of 2013 with my Pentax K-5II and my favorite lens 16-45mm f/4.
I converted this photo in black & white with DxO optics pro, for giving a dramatic ambient.
Now i'm happy to share this picture with everybody !

For group Macro Mondays and this week's theme "B&W"
No time to shoot macro this week but hoping to get back to Macro Monday's I reprocessed an older image. Hopefully this will give me the push I need to get back into the swing of things. HMM
When I first got here I was taken aback by the sheer beauty, the perfect reflections on the mirror-like surface of the lake , the grandeur of the snow sprinkled mountains - and so I set about to capture and portray that in "I stand alone".
However, this tree, which I know has been captured by so many photographers, deserved to be made the centre of attention for a moment.
For that reason alone, I chose to shoot in this orientation and knew it would be a B&W edit so that the environment didn't distract from the shape & form of the tree's silhouette.
Sometimes I just use photoshop to convert to B&W but this is a combination of Photoshop and Nik's Efex Pro. It was harder to bring out the tones in this seascape than the previous landscape. Olga

Another portrait processed using Alien Skin's Exposure software. They have an extensive selection of B&W presets that make it easy to get the look you want. In fact there is probably too many to choose from.
