Could this be a broad-tailed hummingbird (because of the white neck)?? (I don't think we have ruby-throated hummies here in central Arizona.)

A blue heron glides silently above Woods Pond in Lenox Dale, Massachusetts looking for prey. We followed him to the spot where he landed and watched him spear and swallow a fish!

This Roseate Spoonbill was taken at Peaceful Waters in Wellington, Florida.

The mockingbird tried his best to make the woodpecker leave. His efforts were in vain. Sorry about the poop covered feeder in the background.

Osprey. West coast Florida.

Quite a few garden birdwatchers complain about starlings because they seem to clean out a feeding station in minutes. Starlings do this as they evolved to feed quickly in flocks, rather than because they are greedy. It’s not their fault but it can get expensive .

I got this bird with its Home at a corner of my college building…

~~~Few lines from a Hindi poem got to read in school Hindi literature~~~
Hum panchchi unmukt gagan ke,
Pinjar baddh na gaa payenge,
Kanak tilio se takrakar,
Pulkit pankh tut jayenge…..
Hum bahata jal pine wale,
Mar jayenge bhuke pyase,
Kahi bhali hai katuk nibori,
Kanak katori ki maida se…..
This huge flock of snow geese was spooked by hunters or a raptor and rose from the field en masse in early morning light. Best viewed large on black.
