If you haven't figured it out yet I seek out reflections of nature and Autumn usually puts on the best and most colorful shows for this endeavor. Enjoy your week! ~Sam
Hi You guys---I will be busy this week--working and getting ready for vacation-- I WON'T BE ON FLICKR MUCH FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS-----I will try to catch up with everyone today -- ------HAVE A GREAT WEEK--THANKS FOR STOPPING BY MY STREAM!
The light was so beautiful on the river yesterday shining through the golden leaves of the Sycamores.
Every year I try to grab at least one shot which sums up autumn and this is it for this year.
With the weather a bit drab, I decided to head to Allen Banks for a bit of red and gold action. I took the "path less travelled" which heads up the hill, rather than following the path along the river and was rewarded with this fantastic tree, draped over the path and shedding a carpet of copper leaves.
Luckily, the overcast sky meant I could keep colour in the leaves without the sky being too mentally blown out. I've got a few more from the trip, but I think this one hits the nail on the head for me.

iIlove autumn in Nova Scotia! Victoria Park is one of Truro's greatest assets - a natural woodland park of roughly 400 acres in the centre of town. Lepper Brook, with its two sets of waterfalls, flows through a steep tree covered rocky gorge. Several walking trails follow along the brook allowing a close view of this unique setting. The first set of falls is named after the distinguished Joseph Howe who admired them during a visit in 1830. The next are the Waddell Falls, named after Susan Waddell Stevens, who donated the first land in 1888 containing the falls and gorge, thus beginning this park for the enjoyment of Truro citizens.
Although autumn leaves may look gorgeous seen en masse from a distance, I find they are often blemished when viewed close up. You can see some of that in this image, however I found most of these leaves in quite good shape. You can see some droplets from rain that fell the previous night.
Through autumn's golden gown we used to kick our way
You always loved this time of year
Those fallen leaves lie undisturbed now
Cause you´re not here

What a wonderful day it was, and none of my pictures really do it justice... I chose this one because I didn't blow the sky...
This morning it poured and was pretty windy. Once the storm passed the clouds began to part and the sun started to shine.
Processed this shot listening to Hozier's new album.
Take Me to Church is one amazing song.
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
On the outskirts of Canberra there are literally hundreds of poplar trees giving wonderful splashes of yellow to the countryside. Unfortunately a slight blur remains where I removed some wire from the shot. It was overcast for the 3 days we were there........

Took this last week out near Lake Burley Griffin. The colours of Autumn are starting to fade now!
