Autumn Leaves
A very sad but photogenic looking Horse Chestnut leaf that I found blowing around the garden on a cold, blustery autumn wind.
After a miserable, windy, rainy morning the sun popped out and lit up the trees across the road from our kitchen. Working double hours at the moment so barely any camera time these past few weeks - looking through the window has been as close as I've got to the outside world
I So here is a little Close up of some really colorful leaves. If you look close you can see some water droplets still hanging on to the leaves. I really wanted to focus yesterdays shooting on the details we tend to over look while out shooting the great autumn colors.
Have a great weekend!!
Autumn passes by too fast! But I did manage to get a few shots before the color was gone. This country driveway has been on my radar for a couple years and I finally managed to get over there this fall.
This is part of Dries' Orchard along Dornsife Mountain Road in Lower Augusta Township, Northumberland County, PA. I believe these are nectarine trees. You can see the entire orchard positively glowing this reddish-gold color from miles away. The day was drizzly and overcast when I took this photo.

Here in the Southern Hemisphere, Autumn has arrived early this year.
An impression of Autumn colour against a grey sky.
This lovely walking path follows a small river near my home for about a mile. It is my favorite place to walk 2 or 3 miles on a brisk autumn morning. Often I will see ducks on the river, deer in the woods, and many small birds and forest critters as I stroll along this peaceful walkway.
Autumn is here... summer has gone... :-)
Les feuilles d'automne se ramassent à la pelle... et les souvenirs aussi...
The autumn color in the City of Trees is just gorgeous right now! I thought I would try some more intimate, close up scenes during a weekend walkabout in downtown Sacramento recently, isolating autumn color compositions.
Reflections of autumn trees in the still water of a coastal slough. Northwest River Park, Chesapeake, Virginia.
Despite being autumn, our flowers appear to think it is spring or making a last dash.
For Sundays slide I made 3 copies of this raw image with different exposures then blended them, added some painted dry brushes marks and a touch of vignetting. probably makes little difference but I had fun. HSS
Hello everybody! Back from Greece I start with an autumn picture. The pictures from Greece comes soon :)
Thank you for visiting!
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. ~George Eliot
Autumns Golden Jubilee is an annual event that only lasts several weeks and on only several lakes that have Tamarack trees on their shores. This is Mirror Lake in Northern Vilas County in Northern Wisconsin. The sun had just risen and lit the tamaracks on fire and to see this you almost needed sunglasses it was so bright. The tree framing the picture is a Maple tree that lost it leaves, leaving only the Tamaracks to color the landscape.
