I personally have not witnessed much of the Autumn fall this year but I rather like this one which I came across a few days ago!
Liquidambar autumn leaves in the afternoon on Friday 4th May 2012. Photo taken on a sunny & mild autumn afternoon in Castle Hill, north-western Sydney, with my Canon 60D and a macro lens.
These glorious autumn colours are just around the corner so I thought I would post an image from last year.
It was a fairly stormy day and the sun was breaking through the dark clouds and illuminating the golden leaves on the trees as well as lighting up the reeds in the small lochan.
Autumn has beautiful, rich colours. It's like the leaves are about to hug each other.
This image was taken in Umbria, Italy and I love the contrast in this image.

28 September 2014 was the first time I had been to the Calgary Zoo since before the Alberta Flood of the Century in June 2013. I had been photographing wild things over the summer and just never made it as far as the Zoo. Couldn't resist these beautiful fall leaves - our autumn colour in Alberta is mainly yellow, as we don't get the amazing Maple trees here. So, leaves that have turned red here tend to catch the eye.
There were so many people everywhere at the Zoo. Normally, I wouldn’t go on a Sunday, but I thought it might be a good idea to drive the dreaded Deerfoot Trail on my way home on a slightly quieter day. I usually avoid Deerfoot at all cost, as it’s a dangerous road to be on.
We have three maple trees in our yard. One has green leaves that turn bright yellow in autumn. Another has dark red leaves that turn a lighter red colour in autumn.
The other, shown in this photo, we believe to be a cross between the first two. We discovered it many years ago as a tiny sapling growing against the fence between our driveway and our sideyard, midway between the first two trees. We transplanted it into the backyard and its leaves are a red-tinged green turning an orange-tinged yellow in autumn.
