Taken on my recent trip to the Lake District. A rather chilly morning and was hoping for a little more mist.

We finally have the brilliant golds, oranges, and reds that I have been yearning for. I had a lovely weekend soaking in all the beauty of nature.
Back to the autumn photos... LOL
This was taken Saturday afternoon while out looking for photos ops. April and I had planned on going back to Lake Minnewaska SP, but when we got there, the crowds were crazy.... So, we decided not to shoot there and decided on shooting around Vanderbilt Mansion. So we drove over there and this is the view you see when you enter the gates. Yea it was nice. The worst part was seeing this and having to drive a 1/2 mile and park and then have to walk back to get this shot. In the end it was worth the walk. We also took some photos down by the bridge you see in the distance.

This is the road that takes you down to Cromwell's Bridge just outside of Stonyhurst and the village of Hurst Green .... the tones of Autumn are at there best and the shadows of the trees where spread out all across the road :)
