Walking down a wooded trail this time of year is relaxing and exciting at the same time. And the colors are such an added bonus...

I usually don't get the opportunity to catch the colors of Autumn like this but I must admit I spent more time yesterday just looking at all of the beauty that Mother Nature has bestowed on us this year than I actually did taking pictures.............lol

I did catch a shot or two though and the new tripod worked like a charm............:)

Happy Scarlet Sunday everybody........!!!!!!!!

Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.ā€

Thanks for the lovely photos of my favorite forest: de Kranenkamp / Eikelhof.

You guys are great!

The colours of autumn, captured on a lane in Nationaal Park de Hoge Veluwe, one of the national parks in the Netherlands. De Hoge Veluwe is situated in the province Gelderland, and lies between Ede and Arnhem.

Last weekend, with temperatures extremely high for the time of year (20 degrees on November 2), it was nice to visit and cycle through the park.

Despite the warmth, trees had magnificent autumn colors, don't you think?

Thought it was time to try to catch the setting sun over water, so I headed off to the lake (Wendover Lake, bka Weston Turville Reservoir.)

I was bowled over when I saw how deep and colourful the trees already were here. I'm still living amongst green trees not far away.

(Btw -- the setting sun photos were disappointing.)
