This is downtown Austin, looking from south to north. It's the last of the series I took while I was at that meeting on the 17th floor. There are some things I would change if I had a chance to do it over again, but that won't happen until next year..:(

Blood Moon rising behind Austin TX

Can you believe how many people showed up for the fireworks show? I got there at 5:30 so I could get a good parking spot, and surprise, about 3000 other people had the same plan..:) And they just kept coming. The show didn't start until 9:30. To the left is the Austin Symphony Orchestra and they provided the music for the show.

It's so funny to look at the Four Seasons hotel there in the front with those new towering condos behind it. In "76", the Four Seasons was one of the tallest building in Austin.

I just found out someone is using my images on there flickr site, and I don't know what to do about it. In fact, none of the images on his page or his. That's crazy! Now I'm wondering how wide spread this problem is.

Shot last year at a car rally, I finally got around to Photoshopping one of my favourite fisheye lens images with HDR and selective colour treatments in Photoshop CC

This was shot right before sundown. The skies were dull and gray. I really didn't like how this shot came out at first and I wasn't going to post it. A few tweaks here and there and this is what I got.

Thanks for stopping by and looking.

From a quick trip to lovely Austin. Looking across the Colorado river at the skyline.

This is a multi-shot pano, taken while sitting on the path along the river, getting bitten by mosquitoes...

Downtown Austin, TX. Kenichi sushi restaraunt. Frost bank tower in the background. This is one of the more trendy upscale sushi spots. I haven't been there...I prefer more laid back/less pretentious places, but it's very popular.

I composited the sky from another photo/different night.

Austin, Texas in early December 2014. Plenty of color in this rapidly growing city.

The Austin A90 Atlantic is a British car which was produced by the Austin Motor Company from 1949 to 1952. It was launched initially as a sporting four seat convertible, making its début at the 1948 Earls Court Motor Show in London, with production models built between spring 1949 and late 1950. The two-door sports coupé followed a year later; it had been previewed at the 1949 Motor Show and was in production at Longbridge between 1950 and 1952.

teehee, let's see what MLM says about this one ;)

Saw this streetart as we were driving through Austin, Texas.

Austin, Texas under construction that is. This town is growing like crazy. Every direction you look in there's a construction crane.

This is a shot from the architecture photo walk I went on with my class mates. OK, I added the clouds but you knew that..;)

Austin McBride from the clan McBride

Was known to the police in Strathclyde

He was no vicious villain , dealer or crook

Yet through bedroom windows he`d been known to look

The last time in court the judges verdict was fair

6 months he`d serve in a prison outside Ary

Walking out of the prison through her freedom gate

No more peeping for him , now he`d go straight

A full time job he had got with an old spendthrift

As window cleaner he`ll be working the night shift

Taken from the boardwalk. Great view here!

I took this shot from the Congress Ave bridge looking downtown to the Capital building. I originally went to this location to see the bats that were supposed to fly out from under the bridge at sunset.

There were crowds of people waiting but only a few bats were seen this evening.

It's been a year, today. I was working in my brand new dress with my new straight across bangs, when I got the news. It was something that shocked me. It was something I couldn't take in so suddenly. I received a message explaining your death. In the hospital bed, alone and cold. I imagined your cheeks rosy. I pictured your mom's hand in yours. I couldn't keep myself calm for this moment. Your heart was so weak, yet so strong. You fought through it your entirely life. I was finally getting to know you again. I was letting you back into my life. We grew up together and I wasn't ready for you to leave so quickly. High School is almost over and I felt so alone. Where did the time go?

You're in a better place now. You aren't struggling anymore. I imagine you against the clouds giving me hope. Every time the sky reads blue, and the sun sings with shine, I thank God for taking care of you.

I went up to the top of the tower on the University of Texas campus to get this shot. The last time I was up they I had a regular lens. It didn't accrue to me that tall buildings move and almost all the night shot came out blurred. So, I went back with a fast lens and had much better luck.

Last night I had the opportunity to do some photography of the Austin skyline after dark for a long time client. I decided to get to the location early to grab some personal pre-sunset images as well, and shot this while I was waiting. I'm not sure, but the client may decide they like this better than their original vision. We shall see...

Went to a Austin show at the Beaulieu Estate Hampshire UK. Really fun to see all these old cars and how well-kept they were

The Austin Motor Company was a British manufacturer of automobiles that rose to be a major motorcar brand.

The Austin 7 was a vintage car produced from 1922 through to 1939 in the United Kingdom by the Austin Motor Company. It was one of the most popular cars ever produced there and wiped out most other British small cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s.
