I really love the vintage look from Ilford FP4+. I think I prefer it to my much used Kodak T-Max.
This may be the last roll shot on the ARAX (Hasselbladski) for a while now I have my 6x6 film back for the Mamiya RZ. It is so so easy to focus the RZ with it's lare bright viewfinder.

Declaration of Christianity in Armenia
In 301 Gregory baptized Trdat (now known as Trdat the Great) along with members of the royal court and upper class as Christians. Trdat issued a decree by which he granted Gregory full rights to begin carrying out the conversion of the entire nation to the Christian faith. The same year Armenia became the first country to adopt Christianity as its state religion.
The newly built cathedral, the Mother Church in Echmiadzin became and remains the spiritual and cultural center of Armenian Christianity and center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Most Armenians were baptized in Aratsani (upper Euphrates) and Yeraskh (Arax) rivers.
Many of the pre-Christian, traditional Indo-European, festivals and celebrations such as Tyarndarach (Trndez - associated with fire worship) and Vartavar (Vadarvar - associated with water worship), that dated back to thousands of years were preserved and continued in the form of Christian celebrations and chants.
In 302, Gregory received consecration as Patriarch of Armenia from Leontius of Caesarea, his childhood friend.
And Yawning... I had never seen a tree do that before.... I guess Spring is in the air...
Hi my very much appreciated friends at Flickr: I was out of the loop for a couple weeks, but I'm back.
To make it a little more interesting I propose a contest:
Whomever guesses, correctly the country went and visited will get a nice prize.(seriously).
(There is only one contact that knows where I went and ofcourse he is automatically disqualified from participating.)
This is the first photo that you can start guessing upon.2 Guesses per perso per photo please!
This is a fairly wel known painter, in his country (he is in his late eighties early nineties of sound health and mind and I have known him since 1960 when I was a very young boy).
Ofcourse it is very difficult but, it will soon get a lot easier as I upload street and landscape shots. So please start guessing.
A hint: It was not Zimbawe I visited...

St.Stepanos .. Flame of Art History
The St.Stepanos Monastery (Armenian: Maghardavank ) is an ancient functioning monastery of the Armenian located about 15 km northwest of Jolfa city,East Azarbaijan Province northeast Iran.It is situated in a deep canyon along the Arax river on the Iranian side of the border between Azerbaijan and Iran.St.Stepanos is one of the 7 individuals whose Oath-Taking ceremony had been done by one of the apostles. He was a competent and fervent preacher who was arrested by the raged jews and was stoned to death in 37 AC.The mentioned church was built in the memory of St.Stepanos but the exact date is unknown.Upon evidence, the researchers say the church has been constructed in 7th to 9th century AC.The oldest document testifying to the existence of a church in the place dates back to 649 AC and rebuilt in the Safavid era after several earthquakes damaged it.
In July 2008,the St.Stepanos monastery was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List, along with two other Armenian monuments located in the region : "St.Thaddeus" Monastery and the chapel of "St.Mary Dzordzor".

A week ago I had a couple of hours to spend. I took 1 camera 1 lens and 2 rolls of film and walked those 2 hours around a quaint area of what used to be the old town of San Angel in south Mexico City.
I did finish up those 24 frames of film, and I was surprised I found so many vissually interesting things I could photograph. All in all I walked around 20 blocks I guess....
A street show, of the sculptor's Max Sacal, work, adorns whimsically a street's median in a fun part of Mexico City.
