I read and walked for miles ... writing bad blank verse and searching endlessly for someone wonderful who would step out of the darkness and change my life. It never crossed my mind that that person could be me. - Anna Quindlen

Something different for me. I loved the color of the trees and the beautiful blue sky with puffy white clouds and decided to play in my Paint Shop Pro X5....I softened it up so it has a dreamy look to it.
Let me know what you think.
As we have a "Winter Storm Watch" in effect through tomorrow, I need to focus on an image I hope I will see again soon.........

Overlooking a quiet winter apple orchard, the first month ends with the harvest of a rich sunset. Photo taken at Mapleside Farms in Northeast Ohio.
Though the apple trees are dormant, this fruit has been plentifully harvested here at Mapleside Farms so that we may still enjoy treats like bread with apple butter and mulled cider around a warm hearth.

The apple orchard at Mapleside Farms in Northeast Ohio looking absolutely magical in the sunset snow. No Photoshop was used on this image, no cropping, and apart from a polarizer filter, only default camera settings.

"Oh, I bite, I bite on life like a sharp apple. Playing it like a fish, I am happy. And what is happy? It is a going always on. There is something better to be done than I have done, and spurred by the fair delusion of progress, I will seek to progress, to whip myself on, to more and more - to learning, Always." -Sylvia Plath

On my way home, from work this evening, I turned out an unfamiliar road in search of an image for today. The apple orchard is awaking to the warmer temperatures. I'll visit again, in a few days. I believe the blossoms will be gorgeous.

So, we went down to the orchard. I was hoping to get some shots of the supermoon. Well, unfortunately, those shots didn't come out too well. But while we were waiting for the moon to arrive, I was walking around a bit and grabbed some iPhone pics before it got too dark... Then the bats started getting too close for comfort and we were outta there!! LOL!
Give us pleasure in the orchard white, like nothing else by day, like ghosts at night.
