Life, movement, and energy were found from an once thought lifeless part of nature when I explored the photograph. An eternal light, perhaps, for a once majestic tree.

Yasukuni Jinja is the holy place that Japanese worship their war heros from the recent history...This year is the 140th anniversary of the shrine...There is a great event in the evening, including so many food stands..So many young Japanese attended the event tonight...

Grown Gathered Gone

The Cherry On The Top

It’s The Pits

I posted this pic early this morning and had a wonderful response to it, but then accidently erased it!!!

I am now officially convinced that I should not be allowed near a computer!!!

I had also added a comment about having three titles to make *Lynne and Turtlemom4bacon feel better as I perplexed them by having my hibiscus pic ( it posted itself!!!) posted with a title of widely ranging numbers and letters!!!

But now you will all miss that clever ( if I may say so) repartee!

Oh well….

I'm reposting this to to the Monday's Weekly Challenge Group and hope that will be okay!

I truly tried to capture the abundance of this summer's bounty for the Monday's Weekly Challenge Group, looking for a little Bing Bling, but these gorgeous and most scrumptuos cherries disappeared faster than I could shoot them!!!

It was the pits!!!

Pardon the graininess - this was taken at night without a flash.

For those who follow my stream - Another delicious moment came when ZOOM IN TIGHT called last night from the hospital!!

She sounds great and is recovering even better than expected!!

Spring and Winter meet for a brief moment in time.

Saturday photo marathon....

A view of a stream at the far end of the trail. It was late afternoon and the light was perfect.

Past the old station of Ratho, the Glasgow-Edinburgh railway line crosses the Almond Water at a height of 70 feet. Opened in 1842 for the Edinburgh & Glasgow railway, there are 36 of "The Arches", making it the longest viaduct in Scotland. Its arches and piers were originally hollow but in the 1950's they were filled in with concrete to allow for higher train speeds.

On this day with tempurature above 100 degrees, I noticed this small Grasshopper about half inch long "Seeking Refuge from the intense heat inside of a Hibiscus flower.

Ah, sunflower, weary of time, Who countest the steps of the sun, Seeking after that sweet golden clime Where the traveller's journey is done; Where the youth pined away with desire And the pale virgin shrouded in snow Arise from their graves, and aspire Where my sunflower wishes to go.
