Amtrak locomotive #29, a P42DC, pushes eastbound train #352 around a curve in New Buffalo, Michigan. The Wolverine provides three daily round-trips between Pontiac–Detroit–Chicago. My wife and I took this train during a weekend getaway last month. It was just the ticket :)

I got this idea from an Amtrak billboard. Exactly the same concept. I just want to share this lovely image.

I took the photo of the train from the billboard. The sun, the ocean, the sky, the birds, the trees and the hill were elements added using Photoshop.

Credit to the guy or team who came up with this idea.

The dome on the left, Amtrak 9310, former Wabash 1601, is signed as Mississippi Zephyr, and assigned to a fan trip featuring several dome cars and advertised as a farewell trip to dome cars on Amtrak. It was appropriately powered by a pair of EMD E9's. In the background is the former AT&SF coach yard.

Amtrak passenger train on the move just before sunrise. Heading North from Casa del Desierto.

After a long night of driving and photography, I stopped in to this area to get some night photos, have a snack, and rest. The morning provided a great opportunity to get some motion shots with the Amtrak Train.
