My latest order from THe Amazing Armory. It consisted of 2 Nazi Field Caps, 10 WWII German Helmets, 4 Vests, and one Kill Zone Helmet. The only problem is is that I only got 5 German helmets. I emailed HAZELS Bricklink store and Im hoping I will be able to get my other five. Otherwise than that, all of these are great!

Rapidly moving, skywide Aurora the morning of March 1, in the skies of the northern Yukon. I'm not sure, because being a confirmed Northern Lights addict, and receiving the strongest fix I've had in years, I was pretty inebriated by this whole experience ... But, ... I believe this level of activity was sustained for at least a half hour or more, before the cutains "coronally" moved directly over our heads.

At lower left is an outlying member of a phalanx of cameramen (and women) clicking frantically away with a bunch of Canon 5ds, part of the film crew from the Japanese Television network, NHK, which I convinced to accompany me to these higher latitudes, since, for most of the last couple years, the active Auroral curtains have shied away from appearing directly over Whitehorse.

Their 90 minute film, the first episode of a new series entitled "Great Nature", in which I apparently play the loony but tenacious local Aurora addict, will debut April 9 across Japan. After struggling sleeplessly with bad weather and recalcitrant Auroras for a week, we were incredibly lucky to be gifted with this, the best display seen at this lattitude in years, on our last night before returning to Whitehorse.

We are having a very beautiful, very cold early Spring in the Yukon this year.

The mercury this night was ranging between minus 35 and minus 40, and I think that many team members (especially me, since I purchase my winter gear at 2nd hand stores!) were losing the feeling in their extremities, but it's amazing how the joy of being under bright Northern Lights can make you entirely ignore the pain of frostbite !

Without a doubt, the alpinism is an amazing experience with a little bit of adrenaline dose and outstanding landscapes.

This image is taken during the ascent to Island Peak. After a big snowstorm, nobody had come at the summit, because a lot of snow. However, we decided to try. All in all, it was going to be an authentic adventure.

No obstante, decidimos intentarlo. Con todo, iba a ser una gran aventura.

I have just returned from a fabulous trip to Newfoundland but have not had a chance to go through my pictures yet. This photo was taken when we were there in 2014. We did not see an iceberg this time and, in fact, people told us they didn't see any this year because it was too warm. This made me even more grateful that we saw them then which is why I am posting another photo now. It was a great year for icebergs and it was amazing to see them on nearly every road we drove near the ocean.

I will catch up with everyone in the coming days. Thank you for your visit and comments. They are very much appreciated.

We had some incredible clouds come through last night with some eventual rain which we really needed. But, before it came, we had the most amazing clouds reflecting the colors of the sunset. This is what I saw to the south as the sun set in the west -- the color and cloud formations were gorgeous!! Oh, and SOOC, BTW!

After a textbook launch and docking on Sunday night, ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, NASA astronaut Terry Virts and Roscosmos commander Anton Shkaplerov boarded the International Space Station.

This image taken by Terry of Samantha, was Samantha’s first Tweet from space, with the comment: “Amazing being in space, better than anything I ever imagined. Saw my first sunrise from the Cupola today!”

The three astronauts have about a week to get used to floating around their new surroundings before taking on a full schedule of science and maintenance for the rest of their six-month mission.

Amazing Graze

How sweet the sound,

Of munching cows like me....

I once was lost

But now I found,

Some grazing land for me...

:-))

These White Pelicans are showing all the phases of eating in their various beaks. They use their beaks to gather material under water and then strain out the water as they raise their head. Then they raise their beaks vertically and flap it to swallow the food. The beaks and how they use them are quite amazing.

There have been millions, and millions of people, from all over the world, coming to see 'Niagara Falls' for well over 100 years!

Yes, the Falls are there, and they are a wonder to see, and experience.

But there is a very small street, Clifton Hill, which seems to be on the not-to-miss list for millions of tourists.

It has always been, well, 'colourful', with all its fun attractions!

I don't mind getting a cold over taking this picture. It was an amazing sunset today after snowing in the morning. - FDR Park, Philadelphia, PA

The Sand Hills of Western Nebraska have some amazing topography. The former CB&Q follows the hills and valleys allowing for some incredible views of the railroad. I was about 75 ft above the ROW when I shot this empty coal train returning to a mine in Wyoming near Ellsworth, NE.

It's Amazing

With the blink of an eye you finally see the light

It's Amazing

When the moment arrives that you know you'll be alright

It's Amazing

And I'm sayin' a prayer for the desperate hearts tonight

While walking to the front office (maybe 300 yards) I noticed a large cumulus cloud. Then, the most amazing lenticular-looking clouds formed over the top. I had my Panasonic P&S with me and took this photograph.

My Final Edit to my El Matador Beach Series

St. James's Park, Central London, UK

One of the majestic crags to be found in Zion National Park. If you zoom in, you can see growth in places that seem impossible to support life! (In addition to all the greenery popping up out of the cracks in the stone wall, there is also a crop of little yellow flowers thriving at the very top.) It's inspiring to meditate of the beauty of life in all its forms.

I continue to be amazed by the variations of colour in the rock layers and the different shades they take on depending on the light and time of day. The sky can also be the most brilliant blue, or as here, a softer aqua. Getting away from cities and out into the natural world can bring sunshine to your day and a spring to your step....try it :-)

Yes, i work with Photoshop.

Amazing has really become an over used work. Everything now a days is simply amazing. Really! But I do have to say that I find it amazing that every year these delicate little things pop up in the cold weather to remind us that spring is almost here.
