Alley just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Pedestrians step back in time when they enter the short narrow lane connecting the lower ends of Yates and Johnson. Waddington Alley is the only street in Victoria still paved with wood blocks, an early pavement common in the downtown core.

Having gone through a dark period of photographic stillness, I decided to seek enlightment. Not to ... Tibet though. Instead I dived into the vast ocean of internet trying to learn from the experience of wizzards in the pracrice of HDR photography. Captain Kimo, Jimmy McIntyre, Stuck in customs, were a few among many that tought me a lot.The latest interesting site I fell upon is called ''Farbspiel''.
This photo is post processed following the suggested workflow of the before mentioned site. Maybe in a couple of months I'll be declaring the same things about my current attempts. Anyway ... that's life and the magic of it is to walk the road to become better in each and every aspect of it.
After all I'm just a poor guy in the trenches ....

Campiglia - Since many archaeological evidence in the municipal area is known to have existed prior appropriations to the Middle Ages. The territory already in Etruscan and Roman settlement is also due to the fact that the area is rich in minerals.Today we still visited the furnaces and mine shafts that the Etruscans exploited in search of metals. Were identified traces of a village of huts VIII-IX, it is in the Middle Ages that the town takes shape. In the eleventh century we have the first evidence of written sources that speak of the urban settlement of Campillia although it is certainly from the middle of the twelfth century, when the historical events influenced the Pisan village, that we start talking more and more of the city.
1960 Chev BelAir in Toronto's Graffiti Alley.
Graffiti Alley in Toronto's Fashion District consists of about a kilometre of wall art running south of Queen Street West from Spadina Avenue to Portland Street. Each summer, a group called Style in Progress takes over the area for a 24-hour period of legal painting.
The CBC television show Rick Mercer Report uses the alleys as a backdrop for Rick's famous "rant."

We found the old and narrow street in Nishijin area, Kyoto. This is a honey shop "dorato", and there are a lot of the classical and traditional houses "Kyo-Machiya (Kyoto styled houses)" around there.
Located : Nishijin, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan.

This is a shot that I took in the summer but did not upload to Flickr.
Seeing it again I realised I have to upload a shot of Goose alley in the Old town of Stockholm.
