We had a good rain this afternoon! I went to check these falls near Nectar, Al. and they were flowing nicely.
Just didn't like the muddy pool. But in another day or two......
Made it to Explore
Even though there is not much water flowing I think the rocks at Little River are really cool. It is amazing come winter these rocks will be covered. (Hopefully)
Donna this is for you since we couldn't get together this weekend.
I came across these falls last week while out with my son and Nailbender. I was surprised at such a beautiful area was just a few miles up the road from where I live.
I truly thank everyone for all of their responses and favorites. This photo made it to the front page of Explore in the first 24 hours that it was posted!
Wow! This photo made #1 on Explore the morning of April 4, 2007.
This is my favorite photo. I couldn't believe it turned out as it did. I tweaked the color temp a bit and the saturation but it is otherwise as it came out of the camera. I decided to move it up to the top of my stream because I want to see it more myself.

I spent the day hiking through the Sipsey Wilderness in Bankhead National Forest with BamaWester, Nailbender, and RTalley. We hiked down to the Upper Falls on Caney Creek. We continued on to the Lower Falls which can be reached from the Upper Falls in about an hour.

I had a great time today. A lady that used to work with me asked me to take her daughter on a waterfall outing and give here some pointers. I havent been down to High Falls (Delta) in fact I had almost forgot about it being there. The sun was harsh but I still managed some decent shots. On a side note I knew it was going to be bright so I ran in Best Buy and picked up a ND Filter. It and my polarizer fell in the creek somewhere. I looked everywhere. Glad it was kind of warm today I practically went swimming trying to find it. I lose every ND filter I get like that.

One of my favorite places to get away from it all.
Lovely leaves in shades of bittersweet reach out their fingers of tangerine and mango to embrace the coming winter.

This is Swan Bridge in Blount County about sunset this evening. Matthew had never been here before and he was happy to play in the sand along the river while I shot. This is a beautiful spot.
This is coming in the back way to Easley Bridge in Blount County. I just had to stop and get this shot, and I plan to go back this fall and shoot it again then. I am not supposed to be processing photos right now I am supposed to save them until next week. Lee is having surgery and we will be at the hospital for several days afterward. So I am supposed to be shooting now so that I have something to do while we are there.
