Week 38
The best thing about my dorm room here at SCAD is that I can see all the tiny planes crossing to and from the Savannah Airport.
it's especially wonderful when they fly over the sunset.
It hasn't flown the seven seas to you.

I can not live
peacefully without you
for even a moment
l miss you terribly
when you're away
how come
out of all the people in the world
only one
can make me complete
one word on the phone
makes me happy
but one touch directly
makes me ecstatic
she's away
this ain't right
I'm alone
I'm taking an aeroplane
across the world
to follow my heart
There was a party last night, last night
Cigarettes and empty bottles, empty bottles
Better open up this window, this window
Need some air to clear my head, clear my head
SLurl to Tierra de Fuego
Another snap from last night's trip out to Pleinmont.

Taxiing at Larnaca airpost and would you believe it, it was the most colourful sunset of my whole time there....
n. *Aeroplane:
an aircraft that has a fixed wing and is powered by propellers or jets.
Word "aeroplane", first recorded in 1866, is made up of the prefix aero-, "air, aviation," and the word plane, referring to the structure designed to keep an air vehicle aloft. Originally the plane in such contexts was imagined as flat, hence the choice of the word plane; in practice this surface must curve slightly in order to work.

The plane hangs in a hangar in New Zealand, but with some smoke and mirrors, it's possible to make it look like it's in World War I. The museum is quite interesting. Sir Peter Jackson (Director of Lord of the Rings) has his private collectoin of World War 1 aeroplanes stored at the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre . That alone qualifies to go there! This is one of the first aeroplanes used in war. It's called Etrich Taube, and was the first mass produced war plane, created by the Germans. But you can also find the red baron among a lot of other great planes. What really is impressive, is the way each scene is built up. It's really amazingly detailed and very natural looking. If you are in the neighborhood of Blenheim in New Zealand, don't miss out on the Aviation Centre!
