Can't get enough of these architectural characters abandoned on our Canadian prairies, especially against the backdrop of a dramatic sky. (3 exposure, 2 stops, HDR)
I am reminded as I look at this image that as the "wheels of life" move forward they leave memories in their tracks. And, each memory is a springtime of renewal, growth and vitality.

A cat strolls down the street past the Magic Sky, an abandoned jewelry store. The building is for sale, in case anyone is looking for a business opportunity in Taos.
Constructed in 1872 and 1879, this church is one of the oldest in Chicago, and in an area undergoing redevelopment. Most likely it will be demolished before the end of the year.

And then, just like that, it was impossible to get into back in the day. An administration building for a campus in MA that became locked up and closed off pretty quickly.
