This is such a conventional shot but the event never is. Just a wonderful sunset at Whiterock!


Its like my Scottish ancestors used to say "Ay, its a gorgeous evening but we'll pay for it later!"


Explains all the depression in my family...

Millions of years after these basaltic columns cooled slowly from red hot magma into their fascinating and characteristic shape, the early light of sunrise paints once again a subtle fiery glow onto the surface of the cool, grey columns.
