It was a glorious morning there, and well worth getting up in the dark and driving here from Blackwater Falls State Park where we spent the night.

Seneca Rocks is massive, hard to tell the scale here until you realize that there are trees there on the side of the rock face off in the distance. On this mostly cloudy day the sunlight caught my eye as it lit up the peaks ... but my comp had to lean more towards those impressive clouds that were above the formation. Both were calling out to me saying "shoot me ... no shoot me ..." :)

From a nice little trip early this past Spring ... in West Virginia. On this day it was gray and with snow showers every few minutes. The clouds were moving quite fast as the storm front was clearing from the within the mountains.

This was taken along the Shenandoah River in West Virginia.

The camera here was taking a long exposure with stacked ND filters. Cranked the aperture to f/22 here to get a nice setting sunstar.
