I cycle here a lot and it is stunning to observe different shades of light and greenery. Here I tried to capture some of this light and shadow game.

Taken from the Union Buildings in Pretoria

A wee hidden gem in Aberdeen...

"Oh, oh, what are we gonna do?

Union, Union, Union City blue

Tunnel to the other side

It becomes daylight

I say he's mine

Oh power, passion plays a double hand

Union, Union Union City man

Arrive, climb up four flights

To the orange side

Rearrange my mind

In turquoise Union, Union, Union City blue"

The Union Canal was a towpath canal that existed in southeastern Pennsylvania in the United States during the 19th century. First proposed in 1690 to connect Philadelphia with the Susquehanna River, it ran approximately 75 mi (120 km) from Middletown on the Susquehanna below Harrisburg to Reading on the Schuylkill River. Although construction began in 1792 during the George Washington Administration, financial difficulties delayed its completion until 1828. Called the "Golden Link," it provided a critical early transportation route for the shipment of anthracite coal and lumber eastward to Philadelphia. Although closed in the 1880s, remnants of the canal remain, most notably the Union Canal Tunnel, a hand-built engineering marvel that is the oldest existing transportation tunnel in the United States. The tunnel is listed in the National Register of Historic Places

The Union Bridge, River Tweed, Horncliffe, Northumberland.

The bridge is located on a minor road between Fishwick in Scotland and Horncliffe in Northumberland, a few miles west of Berwick.

When it was opened in 1820 it was the longest iron suspension bridge in the world and still carries light road traffic.

hope everyone had a wonderful day

Sometimes at a photo shoot the best shots aren't even part of the shoot. With the CNW night shoot at IRM all done, and the only people left are the crews putting power away we find 8701 sitting out in front of the Depot as a thick fog starts to roll in.

This was a roadside spot on the Union River just outside the Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park.

This is this joyous union with my wild river who colors my relationships, my encounters, the events ... photography is definitely a philosophical art for me ...!!! Ü

My wild lake reflection...!!!

An impressionnist photo safari concentrated on other of my small piece of planet …!!!

A Thoreau "waldennienne" approach …!!!

I took a drive out to Taylor, TX this morning in search of some trains to snap and low and behold, here we go. This is a shot of a Union Pacific engine that I found and I'm glad it was a gloomy day because I think that added to the drama of this shot.

This was taken with a Nikon D90, 5 bracketed photos from -2, -1, 0, +1 and +2 exposure value, tonemapped with details enhancer in Photomatix and tweaked with Nik Color Efex in Photoshop.

Interior of Union Station, the grand old New York Central Railroad depot in Utica, N.Y.

It's just shy of a hundred years old now -- construction began in 1912 and the station went into service in 1914. Extensive restoration over the past 30-odd years has brought it back to fine condition.

Along with Grand Central in Manhattan, it’s the last of the great old train stations still in railroad service in New York state.

Taken at McNeil, Texas. Three-image HDR composite, pushed a little for saturation to achieve a mildly surreal look. The sun was right and the sky beckoned HDR. I love these locomotives.

I find myself ever looking towards the West wishing for more time.

Union war

by Indochine

Album: La République des Meteors

Je vais partir

Fleur au fusil

Je vais mourir

J' n'ai pas envie

Je voulais juste déposer

Un baiser à tes pieds

Blotti contre la barrière

Des baisers par milliers

J'aime trop la vie

Pour mourir ici

C'est quoi cette guerre

Que nous allons faire ?

On va partir

La fleur au fusil

Marcher, la nuit

Tuer la vie

Je voulais juste me coucher

Par terre, comme un bébé

Je reviendrai sûrement blessé

Comme un corps cassé

Are you so far ?

Wanna be your mind

Are you so nice ?

Wake up in your mind

Je vais partir

Fleur au fusil

Adieu, la vie

A nos ennemis

A la fille souillée

Comme à des garçons déchirés

Et comprenne qui voudra

Comprendre qui restera

Are you so far ?

Wanna be your mind

Are you so lies ?

Wake up in your mind

We are, we are, we are in the war {x2}

Yoga means union and came into my life in a time when I had to come back to surface after a long dive and connect pieces of mine. Parts of who I am, dark, unpleasant, and others that I was too insecure to be proud of. It was time for me to face those discoveries and let them fall into place. Union is not an easy process, it does not flow just like that, effortlessly. It takes strength to let go and let in. It takes soul to love, to unite the pieces. Be gentle. And honour the process.

No surface is strong enough to hide what you don't want to confront and release.

Welcome home

the new Union Station in downtown Denver, CO a week before it opens to the public.

I LOVE YOU ALL (please translate the text)

Intenten no ver noticias "desastrosas" continuamente.

Union Station in Kansas City, MO.

This was 7 sets of HDR photos stitched together. 21 images total. Dealing with distortion on this type of image is a real bear as making horizontal lines straight just makes things more distorted. In any event, I settled with this layout in a 3x1 format panorama.

Shot this photo of Union Station in Kansas City a few years back. I reprocessed it. I wasn't happy with the first version.

Toronto's third and current Union Station was constructed between 1914-1920 by the TTR. It was officially opened to the public on August 6, 1927, in a lavish ribbon cutting ceremony by Prince Edward, Prince of Wales (using a pair of gold scissors).

This station is the busiest transportation facility in Canada, serving 300,000 passengers a day.[5] This is partly due to its position at the centre of Canada's busiest inter-city rail service area.

. The station is also connected to the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) subway and streetcar system via its namesake subway station. GO Transit's Union Station Bus Terminal, located across Bay Street from the station building, is connected via the trainshed.

Took this shot at LA Union Station in the middle of the tracks. I had to run out there quick so nobody saw me ha ha. Good thing the shot came out i was worried it wouldn't be good. It's a 3 shot HDR tonemapped in photomatix and further editing with OnOne and Topaz Adjust and photoshop CS5. You can view and buy my most recent work here: lonewolf565.imagekind.com/

An RTD commuter train, decked in University of Colorado ad livery, awaits departure from Denver's renovated Union Station. While most of our trip was spent in the mountains, we set one day aside for exploring the city and obeying the command of the sign above the station :) Thanks for viewing! CU :)

Amtrak's eastbound California Zephyr prepares for departure at Denver's new spaceship-like platform. Union Station, visible through the blow hole, stands tall.

I highly recommend a visit to this place, where modern mojo mixes with a vintage vibe.
