Took loads before the reflections appeared, but at the time they did we had moved away a bit and another photographer was where I wanted to be! Hence got some rocks at the edge here I wanted to exclude but my shadow would have got in his way!

Glastonbury Abbey was a monastery in Glastonbury, Somerset, England. The ruins are now a grade I listed building, and a Scheduled Ancient Monument and are open as a visitor attraction.
The abbey was founded in the 7th century and enlarged in the 10th, before a major fire in 1184 destroyed the buildings. It was rebuilt and by the 14th century was one of the richest and most powerful monasteries in England. The abbey also controlled large tracts of surrounding land and was instrumental in major drainage projects on the Somerset Levels. The abbey was suppressed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries under King Henry VIII of England and the last Abbot Richard Whiting (Whyting) was hanged, drawn and quartered as a traitor on Glastonbury Tor in 1539.
From at least the 12th century the Glastonbury area was frequently associated with the legend of King Arthur, a connection promoted by medieval monks who asserted that Glastonbury was Avalon. Christian legends have also claimed that the abbey was founded by Joseph of Arimathea in the 1st century.

RAW processed in LR3 to produce three TIFFs, one exposed for the foreground and one for the sky which was given a bit more contrast to emphasise the clouds. manually blended in Elements then a third TIFF exposed midway but with a higher colour temp was overlayed at 20% opacity. So I cheated and boosted things a bit because the light was a bit flat, nicer light would have made more of the foreground but i didn't have the luck-xury on the night.

Port Meadow could be considered Oxfords green lung, the enormous expanse of flood plain runs down the western side of the city and forms an effective edge to the city, one that's only a ten minute walk from the centre of town.
Here the Shard looked very crisp in the early evening light, it even seems to have impaled a passing cloud. I think it's fair to say I've addressed a lack of Shard shots over the past week or so, my appreciation of the building has also grown during the process of taking and processing the shots.
