Your speakers are blowing

Your ears are wrecking

Your hearing damage

You wish you felt better

The idea randomly came from listening to the song Hearing Damage by Thom York .

It's been raining all day. It rained, it rained, it rained.

Hmm, I didn't think I'd get some good photo today but luckily I did :)

P.s: There will certainly be outtakes later on .

“Timeless yet timeworn, grand but intimate, oblivious to the passing centuries even as the jungle devours its huge stone walls, Angkor Wat and the scores of temples that surround it hint at eternity, only to remind us that nothing is eternal.” – Seth Mydans, The New York Times

The crowds and humidity are stifling when doing the obligatory postcard sunrise shot of Angkor Wat. Here’s a simple photo tip if you ever decide to make it out the beautiful temples of Angkor. The sun rises behind Angkor Wat, so to avoid the crowds and to photograph the temple bathed in warm, soft light head off to the side where you will be in complete solitude. The only people you may encounter are the park employees and their children.

I used the tree branches off in the corners to frame the shot and waited for one of the employees to ride by in a bicycle to add more of a dynamic element.

Happy Travels!

This is an image of the Cooper-Union building that I shot in New York City back in November 2012 while participating in the New York city Long Exposure workshop with Joel Tjintjelaar and Sharon Tenenbaum. This building is a bold and stunning architectural statement designed by Thom Mayne of the architectural firm Morphosis in the style of Deconstructivism.

he wind is at South or South East, may be done by running off tothe Eastward as long as sail can be carried, and then Wearing Ship, heave to on the Port Tack, andby that means the Focus will pass to the Westward of her position. But crossing in front of the advancingStorm is always attended with danger because the Ship may be taken aback before she gets to theEastward of its path. The Barometer should be carefully watched when in the vicinity of those Latitudes where Hurricanesmay be expected, and when it falls rapidly to 29.50, the weather threatening, and the clouds of a bluish, gloomy appearance, the Ship is then on the verge of the Storm Circle, and the Focus may be at least150 miles distant. As the Focus is approached the Barometer will fall to 29.20 inches at 100 milogdistant; to 28.40 at about 50 miles distant, and to 28.00 at about 30 miles distant. At or near tlktFocuB itself it falls as low as 27.00 inches sometimes DIAGRAM 17 THE STORM ClR^Tic ^^ NORTH LATITUDE. Fig. 1&.

Second of four generations of Wyeths artists. The best known of the Wyeths, Andrew Wyeth was taught by his father, artist and illustrator N.C. Wyeth. Andrew Wyeth is father of Jamie Wyeth, third generation contemporary realist painter.

Official website for Andrew Wyeth: www.andrewwyeth.com/index.html

"Wyeth's portrait of the red haired "Sea Dog," could have been any of the prickly characters one met along the Lincoln Highway. These characters usually walked with a limp, had an opinion about everything, and chewed tobacco. While many of them looked like they could bite the head off a snake, when you talked to them they had the sweetness of a Grampa Walton.

Death for some artists and writers can bring a revaluation of their work, a "reanalysis" that may revise the not always accurate critical summing up that occurred during their lifetime. Death will certainly enhance Wyeth's reputation. It's almost certain that the names of those art critics who trivialized Wyeth for promoting himself rather his artistry will not be remembered.

Born July 12, 1917, Andrew Wyeth was the youngest of 5 children. Because of an early childhood illness, he received his education at home from his father, illustrator N.C. Wyeth, who died in 1945. Wyeth's had his first New York gallery show in 1936. By all accounts the show was a success. Mr. Wyeth's oeuvre includes many paintings of his wife (of 68 years), Betsy."

he Heavens, to figure in the mind, roughly, the position of this circle. Thiiit often found useful in identifying a Star by means of its Declination, which is measured from the Equator. Tne Hour Angle of a Celestial body is an Angle at the Pole contained between the Meridian Circle ofthe place and the Celestial Meridian or Time Circle, which passes through the body, and cuts the Equatorat right angles, and is measured by an Arc of the Equator contained between the Meridian Circle of theplace and the Time Circle which passes through the body, and in the case of the Sun gives the apparenttime from noon, or his distance from the Meridian, reckoned at the rate of 15 to the hour. Thus in figure 2d we have the Co-Altitude, Co-Latitude, and Polar Distance ; three sides of a SphencaJTriangle given to find the Angle at the Pole, which is measured on the Equator. The Hour Angle is thus measured on the Celestial Equator, io the same way as Longitude is measvireJ•n the Terrestrial Equator. \ 60

The New Academic Building, completed in 2009 by Thom Mayne / Morphosis Architecture, is the first academic/lab building in New York City to meet LEED Platinum. The first 8 stories house classrooms, labs, faculty offices and student lounge space, the top floor (9th) houses a studio for the School of Art.

Can you hear them?

The helicopters?

I'm in New York

No need for words now

We sit in silence

You look me

In the eye directly

You met me

I think it's Wednesday

The evening

The mess we're in and

The city sun sets over me

Night and day

I dream of

Making-love

To you now baby

Love-making

On-screen

Impossible dream

And I have seen

The sunrise

Over the river

The freeway

Reminding

Of this mess we're in and

The city sun sets over me

What were you wanting?

I just want to say

Don't ever change now baby

And thank you

I don't think we will meet again

And you must leave now

Before the sunrise

Above skyscrapers

The sin and

This mess we're in and

The city sun sets over me

The city sun sets over me

the direetlon of the Ships track, and by means of the latter her distance run is measured. The Log Ship is a small triangular-shaped piece of wood, one side being loaded so as to cause it to •wimapright; sometimes a funnel-shaped bag is used instead. This is attached to the line in such a mannerthat when the glass has run out, and the line checked, one of the corners (being fastened by a peg of wood•r bone), is released, or the bag reversed, which allows it to be easily hauled on board again. At 12 or lAffcthoniB from the Log Ship the line is marked with a strip of Rag ; this is called the Stray line, whichenables the Log to go clear of the Ship before the time is counted, or the Glass turned. From this marhthe line is measured and divided into Knota and Half Knots, and marked at each Knot with a bit of stringwith the number of Knots upon it. The length of a Knot depends upon the number of seconds which thi Glass measuren. [NSTRUMF.NTS OF NAVIGATION. Fic. 5. THE MARINERS COMPASS.

DESCRIPTION AND DIMENSIONS OF THE EARTH. The Polar Diameter is 7899, and the Equatorial Diameter 7926 miles; the latter being the greatest, itMtosed by the revolution of the Earth on its axis, and as the greater portion of the surface is covered withwater, it recedes from the poles towards the Equator, until its tendency to run back towai-ds the poles justbalances the effects of the centrifugal force. This causes the Equatorial Diameter to be about 27 miles greaterthan the Polar Diameter. If the Earth should stop revolving on its axis, the water at the Equator would■ettle away towards the Poles until it assumed the form of a Globe as near as possible. Thus, large por-tions of land in the Torrid Zone which are now covered by the ocean would be left dry, and new conti*Bents and islands formed. The Polar Axis is not perpendicular, but inclines to the plane of its orbit at an angle of 23° 28, and per-forms its revolution round the sun in one year, or 365 days 6 hours, or at the rate of

November 10, 1958

Dear Thom:

We had your letter this morning. I will answer it from my point of view and of course Elaine will from hers.

First — if you are in love — that’s a good thing — that’s about the best thing that can happen to anyone. Don’t let anyone make it small or light to you.

Second — There are several kinds of love. One is a selfish, mean, grasping, egotistical thing which uses love for self-importance. This is the ugly and crippling kind. The other is an outpouring of everything good in you — of kindness and consideration and respect — not only the social respect of manners but the greater respect which is recognition of another person as unique and valuable. The first kind can make you sick and small and weak but the second can release in you strength, and courage and goodness and even wisdom you didn’t know you had.

You say this is not puppy love. If you feel so deeply — of course it isn’t puppy love.

But I don’t think you were asking me what you feel. You know better than anyone. What you wanted me to help you with is what to do about it — and that I can tell you.

Glory in it for one thing and be very glad and grateful for it.

The object of love is the best and most beautiful. Try to live up to it.

If you love someone — there is no possible harm in saying so — only you must remember that some people are very shy and sometimes the saying must take that shyness into consideration.

Girls have a way of knowing or feeling what you feel, but they usually like to hear it also.

It sometimes happens that what you feel is not returned for one reason or another — but that does not make your feeling less valuable and good.

Lastly, I know your feeling because I have it and I’m glad you have it.

We will be glad to meet Susan. She will be very welcome. But Elaine will make all such arrangements because that is her province and she will be very glad to. She knows about love too and maybe she can give you more help than I can.

And don’t worry about losing. If it is right, it happens — The main thing is not to hurry. Nothing good gets away.

Love,

Fa"

This beautiful response to his eldest son Thom’s 1958 letter, in which the teenage boy confesses to have fallen desperately in love with a girl named Susan while at boarding school.

A candid I took on my visit to LACMA

I like how it shows different people making their own memories :))

And I soooo love the cover here

Did not care for the original one bit :/

Can you hear them

The helicopters

I'm in New York

No need for words now

We sit in silence

You look me

In the eye directly

You met me

I think it's Wednesday

The evening

The mess we're in

And ooooh...

The city sunset over me

Night and day

I dream of

Making love

To you now baby

Love making

On screen

Impossible dream

And I have seen

The sunrise over the river

The freeway

Reminding of

This mess we're in

And ooooh...

The city sunset over me
