No luck getting the trawler of the rocks today at Cronulla today so they are going to try it again tomorrow morning. They are predicting heavy swells and big waves, this should be fun.

Sunrise was at 6:19 this morning, swell has dropped but there are still lots of surfers out making the most of the good conditions. It's good to see kneeboarding is still strong at this location, that was my style when I surfed many moons ago.

Our first weekend of Spring inAustralia today and we are expecting 27c here in Sydney today, it feels like summer already.
We are also attempting to elect a new government for our country today, here in Australia it is compulsory to vote which means we all have to make our way to polling booths and put pencil to paper to make our vote, what a waste of time, why isn't this process electronic.

Quite a few photographers around the beach today especially at the rock pools, I was down at the pools for sunrise with +Ben McGrath and there was a guy with a tripod telling us to get out of his way as we were spoiling his shot, if he had of come down with everyone else maybe he would not have had an issue.

It is hard to believe that it is winter when you Visit the Shire on a Saturday morning in August. I took this at sunrise today down at Wanda Surf Club the sun rose at 6:33 but did not show itself till about 20 minutes later due to a little coastal cloud.
You cant beat The Real Shire at this time of the year clear skies, blue water, sand between your toes and we are expecting a top of 24 degrees today.
