I lost my way

I lost my way home

Stray to far and wound up

at your door

I lost my way

I lost my way home

Stray to far and wound up

at the coast

I love the wind

And I love the rain

I love the coast

But I've lost my only ghost

You're, You're my only ghost

We are not stupid!

The situation on this photo was very Hard ..... The circuit was open .. I did take my place inside the circuit & sat down on my knees, put my eyes to the camera's View Finder waiting for the Knights ..

Did not properly estimate the time and the speed of the hourses ...

began to hear voice of horses hooves approaching me .. When i removed my eye from the view finder of the camera, I noticed that it was too late and the knights were very close to me ... now i had two choices: either to stand or to escape .. But this knight Shout and said to me ... DON'T MOVE ... I sat down on my knees Again, hold the Multishots shutter button and Waiting for my destiny ,, they passed me Safley, there was another hourse passed behind me ... it Was the most dangerous situations in my Photography life :-)

Blue Domo, Icebat and Wage set out across this ice lake today. Do you think they will reach the other end? If you want to know how large this lake is, check it out here.

They are at the bottom right hand corner.

There were so many displaying today and competing for their territory. 🌼 maybe spring is in the air ⚘

Got my feet wet at the seaside at the weekend, but it was worth it. The seagull didn't seem phased by the rough sea.

The Thistle is the floral emblem of Scotland.

According to legend, in the 13th Century, an invading Norse army was attempting to sneak up at night upon a Scottish army's encampment. One barefoot Norseman had the misfortune to step on a thistle which, as you know, are very prickly! He cried out in pain, alerting the Scots to the presence of the invaders. It's thought that the specific occasion was the Battle of Largs (1263), which marked the beginning of the departure of King Haakon IV (Haakon the Elder) of Norway who, having control of the Northern Isles and Hebrides, had harried the coast of the Kingdom of Scotland for some years.

The thistle (like the burr) is an ancient Celtic symbol of nobility of character as well as of birth - so any of us with Celtic blood can feel an affinity to this flower too !

Thistle flowers are favourite nectar sources of many butterflies. The seeds are favourites with goldfinches (seeds are called niger seed).

Texture from Lenabem-Anna. Thanks Anna.

And thank you, as always, for looking and for your support ! Have a wonderful weekend everyone !

Dropped by Wollongong Lighthouse this morning as the sky was AMAZING... grabbed a couple of shots while there.

Not many know that while I was in the employ of the good King Raub of Eternity I was trained in three very unpirate like skills… to ride a horse, joust like a knight, and hunt with a bow. I actually became quite proficient in all three.

But I soon learned that I was not meant to knock people of horses with long pointy sticks… and no offense to the mighty horse Goliath… I am much happier on the deck of a ship then in the saddle of a horse. However it turned out that using a bow became quite useful…. even for a pirate… Firstly it’s difficult to hunt game with a cutlass and well a musket just isn’t very accurate at long distances.

Now one morning… just as the sun was comin’ up over the horizon… I was out traipsin’ thru Hangout searchin’ of some food to give to Lulu… she’s ain’t too useful to have around but when you can get her too cook up some vittles she ain’t half bad…. The trick is findin’ the wench when she’s needed… ok ok back to the story…

Just as I was nearin’ the top of a hill I spotted him. A beautiful hart just standin’ there as if waitin’ for me to see him… I raised the bow and shifted my wait and just then a twig beneath my boot snapped and made an almost thunderous sound in the silence… The hart looked straight at me and gave a little grunt… I expected him to flip his tail up and dart into the woods but instead he lowered his head and started walkin’ towards me… Needless to say I didn’t take the shot and he came close enough that he tapped the bow with one of his antlers… I reached out towards him and he quickly backed up, turned tail, and ran…

It was a strange encounter indeed…. But this is a strange land where odd things sometimes happen.

The new year has started with the fireworks from a weather point of view. A great clearing storm caused by a cold front has create the scene above on the Garda lake, Italy. A brave swan, with other birds, seemed not scared at all by the dark menace approaching from the horizon.

No PP, just used picture style embedded.

No PP, elaborato in macchina con PictureStyle e basta.

The Monumento a los Bomberos (Firemen’s Monument) was built by Spanish sculptor Agustín Querol and architect Julio M Zapata to commemorate the 28 firemen who died when a hardware shop in La Habana Vieja caught fire in 1890.

Gotta' love the Scottish capitol!

Taken at Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii last August. When I saw this landscape, I instantly thought of Mordor from Lord of the Rings and was inspired to take this photo. I also discovered lava rocks are razor sharp when walking across them barefooted.
