This one goes out to my friend Lynn. Lynn was slightly obsessed with this tree and you can see why. So I give her all the thanks for us being here for this beautiful evening.

We had our first snow in the city last night. In other news I finally moved, unpacked and got my new imac so i start processing images on a regular basis :) SInce winter has arrived my computer time will be increasing now.

I am really looking forward to seeing all the amazing images you have all added lately.

Thanks so much for looking!!

Happy Monday and hope all you US contacts enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Wishing everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving today a Happy and Peaceful one full of love and to those of you for whom it is just a regular Thursday, have a wonderful day filled with happiness & love!

November 23, 2006. Day Time.

Fall Break I went to visit my family for Thanksgiving and stayed. It was a lot fun escaping from school for a week or so.

Wishing a belated Happy Thanksgiving to all of you who celebrated this week. We had our turkey dinner on Wednesday since that was the only day both our daughters could make it. Neither of their significant others was able to come, and my dad is Michigan with my sibs and his grand- and great-grand kids, so it was just the four of us here - like old times, but more laid back.

I should have posted this shot earlier, but.... well, you know. And then yesterday, our internet was mostly out, along with tv and landline phone problems. Yes, that's right - it seems that the entanglements of the ATT/Frontier switch-over have finally reached southern CT. Right now, our electronics are kind of back to normal slow, so here's my Thanksgiving shot doing dual duty for Fence Friday.

If you're traveling - or shopping! - stay safe! I'm grateful for all you flickr friends.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Flickr friends.

This is what I have heard

at last the wind in December

lashing the old trees with rain

unseen rain racing along the tiles

under the moon

wind rising and falling

wind with many clouds

trees in the night wind

Thanksgiving Day weekend hiking and camping in Frontenac Park, north of Kingston, Ontario.

A rework of one of Tuscanys most sought after locations. This was captured very early in the morning. The group of trees are dedicated to the memory of fallen soldiers during WWll . Happy Thanksgiving to all my Can. friends.

I was so determined to capture the leaves on the ground that it was only later that I noticed the pretty bokeh back there.

I wish all my US friends a Happy Thanksgiving!

And for the rest of us - have a lovely day anyway!

Captured at: Bell's Christmas Tree Farm, Accord, NY.

Had the opportunity to visit a beautiful Christmas Tree Farm over the Thanksgiving holiday, and was treated to this beautiful winterscape up in the Catskill Mountains.

A late November storm dropped almost a foot of snow in the surrounding areas, and left the farm naturally decorated for the coming holiday season.

Whether you sit at an elegant table this year or help fill plates at a shelter, may you be surrounded by those you hold dear. And if there are those who are no longer with you, honor their memory and remember their kindness.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

I haven't had time in the last few weeks to take the camera out, but we did put our Christmas tree up; a Thanksgiving tradition.

Have a wonderful holiday.

Thanksgiving Day weekend hiking and camping in Frontenac Park, north of Kingston, Ontario.

This is my back yard after a couple of hours of snow today, it is supposed to keep going all day and into the night. The tree to the left is the bright red maple, all bare now and weighed down. Looks a lot different than a few weeks ago :)

After a great Thanksgiving celebration, I'm sharing with you this some personal notes...

The joy of sharing everything with my family, I have that blessing.

My friends, we share good and bad times, they are a blessing.

I have enough and a little bit more to share. That is a blessing.

I paint, I photograph, I sing and I play my favorite instrument, those are many blessings!

I want to thank everybody, my family, my friends and contacts here in Flickr, for making this place a very special one.

"SOMETIMES"

Perfect for the season and always...

"Sometimes not often enough

We reflect upon the good things

And those thoughts always

Center around those we love

And I think about those people

Who mean so much to me

And for so many years have made me

So very happy

And I count the times

I have forgotten to say, thank you

And just how much I love them"

Was in Wheatley, Ontario for Thanksgiving. My cousin's parents live 5 minutes drive from the shore of Lake Erie, so we took a walk down on the Monday morning. All this gorgeous driftwood had washed up on it, I had to keep reminding myself that this is a lake and not the ocean :)

The colour down here was so amazing and just like a gorgeous summer day :)

thank you so so much to everyone for your beautiful comments, very much appreciated :)

Wishing all my Flickr friends who celebrate Thanksgiving a happy day. Don't eat to much and always save room for some dessert. :-)~

The mountain on the right is Superstition Mountain. November 23, a small plane crashed in to that mountain and so far no survivors. Please keep the victims and their families in your thoughts and prayers.
