the glare gives great texture

This was one of my first attempts at following a really good texture tutorial, the tutorial feautred an image of a boat. At the time I wanted to use a boat but didnt actually have any of my photos of boats on me, so I used this one. I found it from: sailboats.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/coastguard.jpg

The texture over the top of the image is infact my own image, it was a shot of the seat of a bench.

(07.05.2013 - Looking at this image again, it's interesting how the grains and markings of the image overlay that I merged on the photograph of the boat fit in with looking like clouds in the sky. )

Just look at those magnificent textures.

I suppose not many people take the trouble to examine such lowly creatures, but because there are so many where I live I can't help but notice certain characteristics such as their cannibalism. As soon as one of their own kind comes to grief another rushes over to suck it dry !

Attempt number two of textures. I'm really happy with the result. This was a boring photo prior to the edit. I think I've found a new pastime lol.

Blue Morpho - Morpho peleides - this butterfly is iridescent blue on its' dorsal side and this camouflage brown on the ventral.
