I don't know as there are any special rules for texturing, but one easy way I have found is to open 2 photos in picasa and hit the little green thumbtack in the lower left side. This will keep both photos in the tray. Next go to the right bottom of the window, look for collage. Open collage and then at the top of that box click on it and then go to the very last choice: Multiple Exposure; superimpose one picture over another. Click that and if you are happy with your choice then hit create collage or close. Afterward you can adjust lighting, highlights, shadows however you'd like.

Hope this helps whomever wanted to know the Picasa way to texture.
