It's sometimes surprising what's hiding behind a dreary winter sky. This was taken at the Black Butte Dam overlook. Visibility was limited due to the weather but I was intriqued by the position of the rock facings and the trees and decided it was worth a shot. Backlighting and layering helped bring out the colors in the sky and then I used a texture called pink spotlight from pareeerica www.flickr.com/photos/8078381@N03/ .

On this pano for fence Friday...well I had no fences left so I used a textured background of a fence by Liz West. Just added another photo of the flowers and stump to it.

Textured white tulips from the Light Works gallery on the Syracuse University campus. I have been looking for a good subject to try out the textures available at Picnik.com. These tulips worked perfectly.
I did some Spring Cleaning over the weekend of my last month of shooting. Now, if only Spring would show up around the northeast US so I can photograph it. Please?

Funny how dull is this picture here, I liked it better on my computer. This is because of the black background I worked with, so better look at it in the light-box.

Texture courtesy of Kerstin Frank: While driving home from Jasper, Arkansas, I came across this bridge I've seen before but never had the time to investigate. This time I stopped, drove the dirt road leading up to it and walked underneath. The river was gurgling underneath and the swallows that had made their nests under the girders were flying back and forth, chirping all the while. It was a peaceful and serene moment.
I believe this is best when viewed on black.
