From one of a series of cells that moved across the Tucson valley on this evening.
If it wasn't for the heat in Tucson I think I might move there. This is the view from behind my dad's house. I am amazed at how stark and beautiful it is, especially at sunset and sunrise.

I've got a lot of shots of this place much earlier in my stream (when, frankly, I was too lazy to use the manual settings on my camera). I think this is better than those, but it's still not *exactly* what I want. I will say, though, that I was annoyed with the clouds while shooting, but happy with them now.
A morning sky in north Tucson looking toward the Sabino Canyon Area. For summer heat relief locals head for the mountains where its 80 versus 100 degrees or more. Morning is a great time for a walk, bike ride or job along the many pathways that go by the dry rivers. Dry as a bone in many months bring lots of water whenever you go out.
This was taken from the backyard of my home. Sunsets can be very dramatic during the monsoon time of the year.
The desert turns yellow in spring when the Brittle Bush blossoms.

One of the first images I made after getting off the plane in Tucson. We had stopped for gas right outside the airport area. I thought it was a good omen.
