Stackable Electric Car

MIT Media Lab has developed a stackable electric car to be used in dense urban cities. Numerous cars will be placed at various places throughout the city so users can combine the use of mass transit (subway, trains, etc.) with individual mobility. Like the luggage carts at an airport, these cars are stackable and take less space to park.

Composite image from a few of my Prudhoe Bay shots. Edit on iphone with Union, Distressedfx, Stackables and Snapseed. Thanks for looking!

The image for today was taken in Upper Spon Street in Coventry. It is a view of the Ruins of the Chapel of Saints James & Christopher. Not much is really known about the Chapel. It is thought that it dates from the 15th Century. It was made of Sandstone and was probably a craft Chapel for the local weavers. The Ruins are classed as Grade II listed.

The photo was taken using the app ExposerGL on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then applied the 05 Vintage filter. I finally used the Healing feature to delete the edge of the new building that could be seen on the left side of the image. Next I used the app Stackables to apply the formula called Sienna. I then used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lade texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Clarify preset, the Stark FX and a Small Dark Vignette. I then applied the Old Paper texture and the Charcoal frame.

The image for today was taken this morning in the Canley area of Coventry. The view is of Canley Hall. This Grade II listed building was constructed in the early 18th Century. Even though it has been boarded up for over 20 years it is still of significant historic value being one of the oldest properties in the area.

The photo was taken using the app VividHDR on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Saturation, Ambiance and Warmth. I also decreased the Highlights a little and added some extra Structure. Next I used the app Stackables to apply the formula called Old Barn. I then used the app DistressedFX to add the Stirred overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Tone preset, the Vibrant FX and a Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Old Paper texture and the Burlap frame.

Today's image was taken early this afternoon in the middle of Coventry City Centre. The view is of the Ancient Church of St John the Baptist. This Grade I listed building originally dates back to the year 1344. The founding of this church began with land being donated to the Guild of St John the Baptist by Queen Isabella, who was the wife of King Edward II. The idea behind this was to build a chapel. As Coventry later grew into a commercial powerhouse during the Middle Ages the chapel was extended into a huge church (pretty much as you can see there today). In the 1540's the church was closed on the orders of King Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Guilds and Monasteries. The church building was later used as a prison for Scottish Royalist Soldiers during the English Civil war. It is thought that at this time the term 'Sent to Coventry' originated. This was probably due to the fact that as the people of Coventry sided with the Parliamentarians, the Royalist Soldiers were treated quite coldly. In 1734 after all the conflict of the Civil War the building was later restored into the Church as it is seen today.

The photo was taken using the camera app KitCam on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped and Straightened the image and applied the Tonal Contrast preset. I then decreased the Highlights and boosted the Saturation, Warmth and Ambiance. I finally added a vignette to the image. Next I used the app LensLight to apply the Warm filter to the image, plus the lens flare called Solar Rays to the old street lamp on the far right side of the image. I then used the app Stackables to apply the formula called Warm Glow, this helped add a bit of drama to the Sky. Finally I used PhotoToaster to add the Recover Highlights preset, the Vibrant FX and the Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Old Paper texture and the Antique frame.

Stacker Storage: Modular and interchangeable, stackable nightstand or side table.

For spaces short on space and storage, Stacker can be arranged and stacked into a storage unit as well as a shelving. The legs and boxes are meant to be easily removed and flat packed for moving. All pieces can be easily CNC’d for quick manufacture and assembly, keeping costs low for the young adult market. Each assembled piece stands at 23”l x 23”w x 24”h. Each drawer is 6” deep.

this pattern could also be used to make stacking stones.
