say "cheese" is an instruction used by photographers who are having difficulty getting their subject to smile. by saying "cheese", most people form their mouths into what appears to be a smile-like shape. additionally, the absurdity of saying "cheese" for no apparent reason can incite glee in some people. (wikki)
so when i tried the same thing on my kitty friend to whom you guys are pretty familiar by now.. and you know that how much she loves me...guess what pose i got....
”Hey, are you gonna shoot me with a Nikon D300… oh cool, can I get a closer look?”

This is my way of working through a tremendous loss.
Someone I love passed this week, and she is someone I grew up with, one of those rare and wonderful people who are a part of your youth in such an impactful way that their presence is part of what made you who you became.
I was not able to get home to say goodbye, this is me paying my respects the best way I know how right now.
D.L.H., you are loved and I will miss you everyday for the rest of my life. Bye for now, my dear friend.
