Harvest bounty along OH241 near Mount Hope, Holmes County, Ohio. This almost looks like 3D. Pretty cool, huh? :o).

Cedar Falls is probably one of the more unique and beautiful falls in the state of Ohio and almost always has a least some amount of flow on it no matter what time of year it is. As many times as I've been to this falls it's getting harder to find a new perspective so I thought I would hop in the creek and shoot from there. This was taken with my new 9-18mm wide angle lens, which at the time I didn't have any filters for yet. Luckily for me the clouds thickened up and moments later it started raining. The original plan was to hit nearby Hidden Falls after returning to the car for some rain gear, but once my daughter and I got up there we changed our minds and went to the swirl just above the falls.
One of Ohio Central's unattractive patched Canadian Pacific SD40-2's sits tied down on the head-end of an empty coal train in Coshocton, Ohio. A nearly full moon lit up the night sky on the clear night.
a sunrise over the pond in my wife's parents backyard. This is an "HDR" made using photoshop cs3. This was my first real attempt at creating in image using any kind of "HDR" technique. Thankfully the sunrise that day was really nice!
Ohio weather, love it one day hate it the next. Today is a hate day!
Been sick all weekend, catching up today, thanks for looking!
I'm in Ohio for a few weeks. This was taken east of Cleveland near Chagrin Falls. Most of the fall color is gone but there is just enough for some photos :)
Ohio Pass, Colorado at sunrise. The morning I took this, I was tired and cranky because I had just slept on an uncomfortable couch in a church basement and maybe slept for 3 hours. Although the basement was heated (which was a blessing compared to the previous night of teeth chattering cold), I wasn't in the "mood" for photography.
When I was taking pictures of this scene, all of my reservations got thrown away and I was able to enjoy the beautiful morning out with two good friends. I'm thankful that God breaks me of my stubbornness and pride so I can appreciate His creation and try to capture a glimpse of it!

Ludlow Falls, Ohio
This little gem is two miles north of the West Milton Cascades. The big drawback to photographing this waterfall can be seen in the top center of this photograph. The bridge that carries the highway across the creek is just above the falls. The drop is about fifteen feet high and about sixty feet wide.
Last Thursday I started for Gunnison after work, heading into a snowstorm that threatened to blow all the remaining leaves of fall color away from the mountains. The drive wasn't as bad as I'd feared, but I wondered if we'd get the light for the best photos around Gunnison and Crested Butte. A college friend of mine lives in Gunnison, and I often spend time in that country. We were encouraged early the next morning by clear skies overhead, but lingering clouds over the West Elks........by the time we got up Ohio Creek, the clouds were moving out, and the aspen were glowing as if from within (as aspen seem to do). There were so many oranges in the normally lemon-colored leaves this autumn. The orange and yellow was punctuated by reds. What an autumn! The Castles were covered by clouds, but the West Elks were glowing white and coated by snow.

More Winter in Ohio - although at least this time a bit symetrical.
SO much better when you View Large On Black
Ohio was extremely sparkly. I was mostly just happy about how pretty it was, but then I heard on the radio that like 50,000 people didn't have power, so I felt bad for only thinking of aesthetics.
The Taylor-Southgate, L&N *Purple People Bridge," and I-471 "Big Mac" bridges connect Cincinnati, Ohio with Newport, Kentucky. Looking upriver with Bellevue, Kentucky on the right.
