cause he was right beside me

He used to call me DN

That stood for deadly nightshade

Cause I was filled with poison

But blessed with beauty and rage

I can not put into words the last 4 days of my life...I went to YOSEMITE National Park. I am sure it has change my life! This Photo is from Lower Yosemite Fall.

Over the next few weeks, I will slowly post photos and thoughts from this amazing experience.

Fyi this photo is of my tripod/camera to get the shots www.facebook.com/SteveBondPhotography/photos/a.3044271263...

Mark Lucey is a 45-year-old freelance photographer from Mt. Beauty, Australia. He has been honing his skills for the last 25 years through reading and experimenting. Landscapes are his favorite, and he enjoys capturing long exposures in low lighting. Although he has no published works, his passion speaks for itself.

Story Behind:

I was on my way to Curl Curl Beach, a man made beach bath; a 45 minute drive from my place. I kept glancing towards the raging ocean which was rippling with mighty waves. Winter storms had been lashing the region for the past two days, creating a perfect mood in the sky. Today, I felt like I could end up making a seascape masterpiece. I had been learning a lot overtime, developing my understanding in the style of long exposure shots.

I parked my car and started unpacking my gear. Last but not the least, I took my trustee umbrella. This umbrella had taken me through all kinds of weathers so I always carry it with me. As I walked up the steps leading up to the bath, I looked up and was astonished by the view that met me. The scene looked incredible, the blue waters over flowing out over edge of the bath like white smoke matching with the froth on the waves in the sea. Incredible...

..."Possessing all the beauty

Hungry still for more

Heaven holds a sense of wonder

And I wanted to believe

that I'd get caught up

when the rage in me subsides

In this white wave

I am sinking

in

this

silence

In this white wave

in this silence

I believe

I can't help this longing

Comfort me"...

Silence

-Delerium

'when loneliness turns to silence...' On Black

"Sonnet 65" by William Shakespeare

Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea,

But sad mortality o'ersways their power,

How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea,

Whose action is no stronger than a flower?

O how shall summer's honey breath hold out

Against the wrackful siege of batt'ring days,

When rocks impregnable are not so stout,

Nor gates of steel so strong, but time decays?

O fearful meditation! Where, alack,

Shall Time's best jewel from Time's chest lie hid,

Or what strong hand can hold his swift foot back,

Or who his spoil of beauty can forbid?

O, none, unless this miracle have might -

That in black ink love may still shine bright.

It's storm season and I love the drama, beauty and energy of storms and shoot them every chance I get. Yesterday, the sky was getting dramatic and I was psyched to get some shots having recently watched one of my favorite movies about storm chasing, Twister. It's a movie I can watch over and over and never get tired of it. Because I know it so well, I sometimes have a habit of saying the lines at the same time as the characters or maybe a beat or two before.

"The Suck Zone. It's the point basically when the twister... sucks you up. That's not the technical term for it, obviously."

"it's the wonder of nature, baby!"

"Why do you call Billy the extreme?....Because... Bill is.....the EXTREME!!!!!!!

When eerie silence fills the air as a raging tornado abruptly ends, the scientist called Preacher and I say, at the same time and in the same reverent tone...

"It's the cone of silence" I love that line but it's a fallacy that tornadoes have a cone of silence. It's really a radar term. Directly over a radar tower is a blackout area where the weather readout is blank, it's a visual cone of silence, like my umbrella. But for the movie it's a great line and we don't care too much about accuracy,...it's a movie!

Sometimes I have to warn the characters...where'd it go? it's gone (meaning the twister)

"No, it's not, it's gonna back-build... It's back-building! It's gonna drop right on top of you! Get the hell out of there!"

"Getting yourself killed is not gonna bring your father back Jo!"

"It's not gonna fly, The pack is too light, it needs more weight! I told you it needed more weight!"

My hubby looked up at me perched on the back of the couch with my fists in the air and he said, I feel like I'm at the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Ha! for those who don't know, That's a cult classic horror spoof that was popular years ago to which everyone would go dressed as the characters every night and recite the lines. Imagine having that excitement right in the privacy of your own living room.

The raging roar of life in your mind.

Note: Needless to say it was a tremendous opportunity to be able to take this particular photo of the American Falls at Niagra in New York! Being this close to such an awesome display of nature is truly breath-taking! The roar of the water and smell of the mist was simply awe-inspiring!

Those eyes, dangerous, so dangerous they could commit arson with a mere glance yet he found love deep inside them and calmed the fire that raged within her.

A steady drop in average temperatures and more frequent high winds signal the approach of Autumn in these parts. The westerly winds bring ever deeper low pressure systems in off the Atlantic and our beaches loose the tranquil, peaceful, and bustling feel of summer and revert to the natural raw wild places of solitude that we locals love to visit, and when there we see the awesome raging beauty of the winter storms. To stand on a beach alone with the thundering sound of the relentless surf falling on the shore is a wonderful experience and one that I find connects me with the sea and nature in general, and allows me the mental space for quiet reflection of all lifes issues. It's one of the things that hold me here in Pembrokeshire. Happy to leave but never happier than when I'm back.

Wrath (Latin, ira), also known as "rage", may be described as inordinate and uncontrolled feelings of hatred and anger. Wrath, in its purest form, presents with self-destructiveness, violence, and hate that may provoke feuds that can go on for centuries.

Hero's Odyssey Fine Art Landscape & Nature Photography for Los Angeles Gallery Show !

Will be busy printing and framing in nice large, matted formats and frames and museum glass! Five of these photos will be printed on 40" x 60" floating wall mounted metal sheets! I think I know which--will share photos of the photos hanging on the walls!

And I am mounting some on plexiglass/acryllic--front mounting them! Some I am printing on lossy fuji-crystal archival paper too, and then front mounting 40"x60" versions to plexiglass--will send photos!

The secret to HDR photography is that you want people to say, "Woe dude--that's unreal!" And not, "Dude--that's not real!" "Unreal" is the word they use when they're trying to figure out the photo--what makes it cool--is it a photo? Is it painted? How'd it come to be--how'd you bend the light that way? "That's not real," is what they say if you have the saturation/HDR/ etc. turned up too high. :)

Some (almost) final edits for my Los Angeles Gallery Show! Here's how I do it:

Print: Fuji Crystal Lightjet Metallic front-mounted to 1/4" Acrylic.

Acrylic: 1/4" with regular polished edge

Backing: White aluminum 3mm

Hanging Mechanism: Silver aluminum float box

I'll be using the top-of-the-line, museum-quality gallery format consists of the highest-quality prints on Fujicolor Crystal Archival Paper, front-mounted to UV-resistant protective acrylic, backed by a solid aluminum sheet, and fastened to an aluminum silver frame "float box" for mounting on the wall.

Wish you all could come (and hang out with the goddesses)!

Kylemore Castle and Abbey

Kylemore Abbey, that stunning castle at the foot of Duchruach and beside the waters of Lough Pollacappul, has fascinated visitors to this part of Connemara since its completion in 1871. It was four years in construction and the cost come to little over £29,000. Now, splendid new look “The History of Kylemore Castle and Abbey’ has just been published and was launched recently at a ceremony in Kylemore Abbey by An Taoiseach, Mr Bertie Ahern.

The author is Kathleen Villers-Tuthill who was born in Clifden and who has devoted much of the past twenty five years to researching the history of Connemara. Other books on the region complied by Kathleen include The History of Clifden 1810-1860 and ‘Beyond the Twelve Bens’.

I first met Kathleen on a trip to the Holy Land back in 1987. We were among a group of over 100 people who enjoyed a very pleasant ten day journey to that famous part of the world. Our group was led by Donncha O’Dulaing, the well known RTE radio broadcaster and it involved stays in Tiberius and Jerusalem as well as visits to many of the famous Biblical places.

Her latest publications is a superb work of research and presentation and is an engrossing read. Kathleen goes into great detail on the history of Mitchell Henry and his family and their association with politics, including a political career in England as well as contesting the Galway seat, the advent of tenant rights, the Home Rule Bill, and the closing years.

In a foreword, Mother Abbess Magdalena Fitzgibbon reflects on the history of this famous place. “Kylemore Abbey has been a Benedictine House for over eighty years. The Abbey, which was once a fairy-tale Castle, was built in the 19th century by Mitchell Henry and stands today as a monument to a great gentlemen and kindly landlord who spent most of his fortune on the estate and for the good of the local people.

The Community of twenty four nuns, who took up residence here in 1920, had fled from their Abbey at Ypres, Belgium, at the outbreak of World War 1 in 1914. They were of mixed nationality and had displayed great courage and determination in the six years prior to settling at Kylemore.

“The Community brought with them a strong devotion to the Benedictine tradition and the Benedictine way of life. They also brought with them a history that stretches back much further than that of Kylemore.

“Founded in Ypres in 1662, our community was made an Irish House in 1684. On the request of King James 11, and under the guidance of Lady Abbess Butler, the Community moved to Ireland in 1688. However, following James’s defeat at the Battle of the Boyne two years later; the Nuns returned to Ypres, where they remained for the next 224 years.

“Having gone through the vicissitudes of wars, extreme poverty and few vocations at times, the Community has reached this new Millennium. It is quite a tradition we carry with us, one which we cherish and shall always endeavour to keep fully alive.

“Since its beginning, Kylemore has been a focal point in the West of Ireland. Previous generations of Benedictine Nuns, for whom Kylemore served as home, have left us with a legacy of love for the place, a sense of stewardship for its continuance and a recognition of its uniqueness in location and attraction.

“Here , there is not only a natural beauty, there is an aura of peace and tranquillity and a sense of spiritualness. Peace is the Benedictine motto and at Kylemore Abbey it is a palpable presence. In the midst of a busy tourist area, Kylemore is an oasis of peace in a restless world and we, as a community, are glad to share this peace with all who visit. The Benedictine life is balanced with prayer and work (Ora et Labora) and at the Abbey we invite those who wish to do so, to join us in prayer.

“Mitchell Henry was a deeply spiritual person and it can only please him to know that a Community of Benedictine now has its home in his Castle, praying the Liturgical Hours, while maintaining the estate and undertaking the tremendous task of observing and restoring its many natural and important heritage features”.

The book contains a wealth of background knowledge set against the prevailing conditions of the time in this region of Connemara. The Galway Express of 1882 reported:

“The country is ruined, and the people find nothing can save them but emigration”. A scheme was set up by James Hack Tuke, and others, to assist evicted tenants to emigrate to America and Canada. Between April and June 1882, a total of 1,276 people left Clifden, Errismore, Roundstone, Renvyle and Letterfrack under the Tuke scheme. And for those with means, the Allen Line was now offering direct service between Galway and Boston”.

The story of the Benedictine Nuns at their famous convent in Ypres (Belgium) and how they has to evacuate it as German forces advanced on the area is recalled in the chapter on “Leaving Ypres”. German bombs were raining down on the beautiful monastery as the nuns made their exit from the building . “ A cry of anguish arose from hearts as, hurrying along the deserted street, we saw our convent apparently burning”. is a quote from the Mother Prioress. A bomb had exploded as they were preparing to leave.

As the War continued to rage in Europe the nuns decided to move to Ireland and took up residence in Merton House, Macmine, Co. Wexford in February 1916, It was from here that they were to travel in a saloon carriage provided by the Midland Railway Company to Galway.

The nuns took possession of Kylemore Castle and estate on the 30th November 1920. The purchase price was £45,000 for a property that “ stood silent and forlorn” at the time. As Kathleen says: “The cold and unwelcoming appearance of the family and guests of Margaret and Mitchell Henry.”

The background to the large statue of the Sacred Heart, which is located halfway up Suchruach mountain, is recalled here. In 1932, Lady Abbess Maura fulfiled her promise to erect a statue in thanksgiving for their safe delivery to Kylemore. The Sacred Heart was chosen in recognition of the community’s long tradition of devotion to it.

It was put in place by ten men John Joyce, Tom Conroy, Tommy Kearney, Jack Coyne, Pat Nee, John Lydon, Anthony McDonald, Frank Keane, J.J. McLoughlan and Michael Fitzsimons, the carpenter.

“Using a large hand barrow made by Fitzsimons, the statue was carried up a previously prepared path. The men were followed by members of the community reciting the rosary. At the designated spot, the statue was blessed and cemented into place on a platform over looking the Abbey.”

In 1953, history was made when Lady Abbess Agnes Finnegan, a native of Westport, became the youngest Abbess in Europe at the age of 36. There were forty two nuns in the community at the time.

The guesthouse had become enormously popular and Kylemore Abbey was fast becoming a popular destination for almost every tourist visiting Connemara. Lunches and afternoon teas were served to accommodate the growing numbers of day visitors and a small shop was opened in the hall, selling religious objects and craft work made by the nuns.

But the events of the early hours of Sunday 25 January 1959 had a major impact on the life of the community. It was a beautiful , calm moonlit night, with no wind, but very cold and frosty, Inside the Abbey the community of thirty-six nuns who had been invalids for some years, thirty students, aged between seven and seventeen, and two lay mistresses, were sleeping in their beds. Lady Abbess Agnes would recall the events of the night many years later.

“I remember going to bed that night and it was very, very cold and I was thanking God that I had a bed to go to, and I was thinking of people who were suffering and living rough, that was what was going through my mind.

“I remember waking up about two in the morning, and I heard a cracking sound, It had snowed a short time before that and then it was frozen over, and so I thought it was the frozen snow falling off the roof. And as I was thinking this the door opened and in came my next door neighbour, Dame Michael, “Oh! Lady Abbess there is a fire,” she said . The two of us ran around waking everybody up. I ran up to the school dormitory, and I called the nun sleeping there and told her to get the girls up. We got them out the back way, there was a door leading onto the mountain at the back. If that door had not been there we would all have been burnt. We had just got out in time when the whole dormitory was up in flames. Dame Michael was great, she went around calling the nuns.”

Fire Brigades from Clifden, Galway, Westport, Castlebar, Claremorris, Gort, Loughrea and Athenry attended the fire. The Galway firemen later told the nuns they could see the ‘reflection’ in the sky at Recess and felt sure they would be unable to control the fire. When they turned into the avenue, the fire captain later recalled being greeted by a ‘magnificent view of the Abbey in flames reflected on the lake’.

The chief fire officer on the night was Captain P.B. Sugrue. The source of the fire was an electrical fault and was traced to an old fuse board.

Radio and news reporters from around Ireland made their way to Kylemore while the post office was inundated with telephone calls from around the country and overseas.

After three years of hard work and great attention to detail, the Abbey was fully restored by the contractor John Sisk and Sons and normal life resumed again.

Kathleen refers to the sweeping changes in the aftermath of the Second Vatican Council in 1961.

“The daily prayer was shortened and changed from latin to the vernacular: devotions that had grown up during the centuries were dropped , but all liturgical prayer was kept, The vernacular, however, did not entirely supersede Latin at Kylemore,Latin Vespers are still sung each Sunday evening and plainchant remains the dominant music in the nuns worship.

“By for the most popular change to come under Vatican 11 was the one which allowed the nuns regular trips home to visit aging parents and to holiday with family and friends. However, for many that trip home had come too late, forbidden under the strict rules of enclosure to attend the funerals of their parents, the irony of being allowed home to an empty house was not lost on them,” says the author:

In the past few years, under the guidance and direction of Mother Abbess Magdalena Fitzgibbon and her committed group, a number of major restoration projects have been undertaken including the old Gothic Church which has been lovingly restored after being in a state of most severe disrepair and the Walled Garden which represented a huge challenge.

Today, there are eighteen Benedictine nuns in Kylemore Abbey, A total of one hundred and sixty two pupils are attending the school, eighty of whom are boarders. It is the only Benedictine community for nuns in Ireland and, like many other orders, is experiencing a serious decline in vocations.

The author quotes Sr. Benedict, the community archivist, who remains optimistic: “The House has witnessed a fall in numbers in the past and has survived to tell the tale. This too shall pass. And today’s dilemma will simply to be case study for the historians of the future.

And Mother Abbess Magdalena concludes; “I believe Monastic life holds a key to the secret of stability, peace and tranquillity, We then have a responsibility towards the healing of society, to help, through our liturgy, our prayer life and our hospitality, through our Ora et Labora. This is the challenge of the new millennium for us in Kylemore.”

The History of Kylemore Castle & Abbey by Kathleen Villiers-Tuthill is published by Kylemore Abbey Publications and retails at 25 Euros. Their contact number is 095 41146.

She was a beauty--a gold 45 goddess for sure! A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess guards the beauty of dx4/dt=ic and embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic odyssey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour.

Pacific Northwest, Day #1

My one week trip Started here, Well, Kind of! I arrived in Seattle airport and started my 2,163.6 miles journey in a rental Dodge Journey!

My final destination was Yosemite National Park. Along the way, I met a lot of people, made some friends, some connections, and saw a lot of beauty in nature and people. The plan for the first day was to visit Lower Lewis River Valley for a few hours, shoot some pictures, and head towards the Colombia River Gorge. But I had to pick up some supplies along the way, and made it there a bit too late! In fact I got to the waterfall just 2 hours before it got too dark for any meaningful photos! It was raining and the hike down to the river was extremely slick and dangerous! The current was so fast that I did not dare getting any closer to the falls. There might have been other paths leading to the waterfall, but it was just too dark to do anything anyway!

After this shot, I dragged myself and the 28 lbs camera bag out of the slippery gorge, which was NOT easy!!! By then it was too dark and I decided to camp right there and head south the next day. This was when I met Mike and three other great guys who invited me over for food and desert at their campsite! So, despite the rain and being late, the first day of my journey, turned out to be OK after all...

In 2003 a bushfire raged through the nation's capital Canberra devastating everything in its path. Up on on of Canberra's many hills is Mt Stromlo observatory. The observatory got hit hard and the old telescopes still stand to this day. Beside the horrible past the old buildings still hold the beauty they once did. Taken with my Canon 5D MkIII.

Modeling the black & gold "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic. Yes I have a Ph.D. in physics! :) You can read more about my research and Hero's Journey Physics here:

herosjourneyphysics.wordpress.com/ MDT PROOF#2: Einstein (1912 Man. on Rel.) and Minkowski wrote x4=ict. Ergo dx4/dt=ic--the foundational equation of all time and motion which is on all the shirts and swimsuits. She was thin, tall, fit, tan, and sexy! Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

May the Hero's Journey Mythology Goddess inspire you (as they have inspired me!) along your own artistic journey! Love, love, love the 70-200mm F/2.8 Lens! :)

Looking down off the mountain at this raging beauty, Neath S.Wales.

“to become aware of the ineffable is to part company with words...the tangent to the curve of human experience lies beyond the limits of language. the world of things we perceive is but a veil. It’s flutter is music, its ornament science, but what it conceals is inscrutable. It’s silence remains unbroken; no words can carry it away. Sometimes we wish the world could cry and tell us about that which made it pregnant with fear--filling grandeur. Sometimes we wish our own heart would speak of that which made it heavy with wonder."

Moving

Feeling, requires a search!

Silence enhances a wound,

Where forbidden sounds lack words.

Emotion, lacks boundries!

Quietly the soul mourns,

Without a friends understanding.

Passion, explores the darkeness!

Gently tears disappear,

While waiting becomes an affliction.

Thirst, requires a fountain!

Softly a direction is taken,

But dread thwarts birth.

Hope, rescues a doubt!

Peace blossoms into light,

And the sightless choose to walk.

I had the idea of wanting to portray the death of Narcissus in a different manner. In the composite, after Narcissus had seen his reflection not wanting to leave its side, a storm was approaching from afar. The water then became wild, turning it to a murky sight from crystal clear thus losing the his reflection. Narcissus panicked and struggled to find the beauty that he laid his eyes upon not paying attention to danger that awaits him. Feeling cold already, Narcissus could not feel the raging waves hitting behind him. With one strong swift, he accidentally hit his head on the rocks, knocking him unconscious. Narcissus's body slipped under the raging waters never to be seen again.

We all know the story of Narcissus, son of a river god named Cephissus and a nymph named Liriope. According to legend, Narcissus was renowned for his beauty and that eventually led him to his own death. The story goes that Nemesis attracted Narcissus to the people, wherein he saw his very own reflection and fell in love with it. Unable to leave the beauty of his reflection, Narcissus died. There is different story surrounding the death of Narcissus, it is said that he committed suicide because his love cannot be addressed.

Dr. Elliot McGucken's Hero's Odyssey Fine Art Landscape Photography! The breaking Malibu mist was epic!

A Gold 45 Goddess guards the beauty of dx4/dt=ic and embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology.

A Gold 45 Goddess guards the wisdom of dx4/dt=ic -- my physics theory which appears on all the 45surf clothes.

Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!

Over the past 10 days I have enjoyed falling head-over-heels in love. Her name is California and her beauty ranges from the giant heart of the Redwoods, to the dancing grace of the Big Sur coast, and the curving, majestic dunes that stand defiant in the Valley of Death. Did I do any single of these wondrous sights justice? Not a chance. Most of these spectacles we simply shot as we passed through. Lets just say it’s fairly safe to say, “I’ll be back.” ;)

As cheesy as that intro was every word was true. After seeing so many stunning shots from California I had to see for myself and everything you see and hear is true. This was my first time shooting all of these locations/landscapes and it was a great learning experience. Our trip was an awesome time to finally encounter so many of the mind-blowing locations we see on Flickr. I wish to give a huge thanks to D Breezy, Aaron Reed, and Jim Patterson, the information I gathered either from them or their photostreams was huge in helping us plan our trip. It was a great time where I/we were able to visit with old friends and also make some new ones :)

I don’t have a message this week, for one thing it’s a super busy week catching up on everything but also, God has been working on my heart. It has been something a long time in the making. I know there is something I need to work on/fix inside, I just didn’t know how to before now. It’s sort of beginning to make sense and I hope that I’m finally in a place to learn what I need to. This trip was a good time to reflect and learn and I hope to put that learning to good use. I know that doesn’t really tell you much but lets just say I too often get in the way of Gods plans for my life.

So this week I just wanted an honest opinion on the messages I usually do. Do you enjoy them or not? What do you enjoy about them or what do you not like? Is there something different you would like me to do? I often feel like I am always being negative, but I just feel like Christians today aren’t challenged enough. We get caught up in being comfortable and safe and I really don’t believe that is what a Christian is called to be. That being said, I want this to be about love. I’m no closer to having things figured out then the average Joe, but I like to share what I learn with you. You can either leave a comment or send me a message and this is open to anyone and everyone.

"If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God."

Dr. Elliot McGucken's Hero's Odyssey Fine Art Landscape Photography! The breaking Malibu mist was epic!

Let me know your favs.!

View On Black

Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea,

But sad mortality o’ersways their power,

How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea,

Whose action is no stronger than a flower?

O! how shall summer’s honey breath hold out,

Against the wrackful siege of battering days,

When rocks impregnable are not so stout,

Nor gates of steel so strong but Time decays?

O fearful meditation! where, alack,

Shall Time’s best jewel from Time’s chest lie hid?

Or what strong hand can hold his swift foot back?

Or who his spoil of beauty can forbid?

O! none, unless this miracle have might,

That in black ink my love may still shine bright.

William Shakespeare

Thanks everyone....

1. Q; talk to me: OK, what an interesting idea, and here's one that has been bugging me -

Is our sense of beauty in art primarily ancestral, or is it primarily learnt? Does our evolved preference for savannah like scenes, beautiful (healthy) faces and bodies, food, safety and comfort act as a foundation for all of our learned preferences in art, or is it a primary filter through which we view everything, at least on some level? Or can other fundamental metaphors, learned more than inherited, and cultural more than evolved, be a completely separate basis for artistic delight and WOW! The question is inspired by (for me) the surprising uniformity in artistic preference across cultures, exemplified by flickr. Appreciation of much art (although not all derivative, modernist and minimalist forms) seems somewhat universal - we intuitively enjoy Chinese architecture, Afrikan sculpture, or Japanese art, even if we don't have the cultural reference points to understand it.

A: I don't even know where to begin.

In my sleep-deprived state coupled with the garden-variety summer lethargy, all I can seem to say is that is such an impressive question, I think trying to answer it would never do justice to its tidy profound perfection.

I am going to answer this in a bit, after I have warmed up...

2: Q: talk to me: What makes a photograph interesting to you? How does a photographer or contact hold your interest?

A: That is one I can't answer.

Sometimes it makes a lot of sense, if the person is a great photographer and they have a lot to teach, and others out of habit. Many (if not most) of my contacts truly hate flower macros, and yet they have politely lasted through my most painful and protracted attempts. If they hang in there, they have won me over. This is the litmus test, whether they one day send me a raging e-mail in all caps threatening flag my photos if there is ONE MORE OVERSATURATED LILY.

I am sure their fingers have hovered over the "remove this contact"option more than a few times.

These are my friends, and I respond in kind~

3.Q: How was the shower?

A: It was awesome.

I went an hour out of the city to a friend's house and we sat on sawed off lawn chairs staring at the sky and talking until we were covered with dew. The meteors were everywhere, just never where I had pointed my camera.

Ever.

And I probably had all my settings wrong, but the night was good, the company wonderful, and I can pretend there was cloud cover...

4.Q: talk to me: Did you see any Perseid meteors?

A: (See really lame excuse above, and example of a lovely meteorless night down the the comments)

talk to me: sweet dreams

who ever, where ever, u are

A:

:) goodnight, friend~

Q: talk to me: now that ur n 2 photography so deep, could u ever live without it???

A: I could, but it would be like losing an appendage.

It is--has become--an addiction.

Q: talk to me: When will I be born?

A: I guess when you let go of everything

(Every question that came, I thought of who had sent it... and with the exception of a few, I have no idea. But this one really stumped me and sent my poor underexcercised brain limping down a path that led in many directions~)

Q: talk to me: I’ve run out of laundry detergent. I have a large load to finish quickly. Can I use dish soap in the washing machine?

Of course!

And then you can serve dinner inside your socks, pita-fashion.

Q: talk to me: Hello my name is Denis

What is this form about? Why oh why?

A: (See the first question)

Q: talk to me: Why don't you ever answer e-mails?

A: Hi Mum! :)

Q:talk to me: For me love is just a dream . . . . Why it can't be real for everybody?

A: I think it is a dream for everyone~

---Flickr keeps hiccuping back everything I write.

I'll try later when it has held its breath and swallowed a glass of water---

Q: talk to me: Do you also experience the evaporation of the world around you when your eye and soul re capturing those beautiful or interesting images? :-)

A: That is a perfect way of describing what happens. It simply vanishes~

Q: talk to me: You are attending a wedding of someone you barely know. Suddenly the Bride and Groom lead a march in and around the reception location, adding guests' at the end of the line with The Bunny Hop tune playing. Your luck as the last person in line is an attractive well dressed man. Do you, finish your drink and jump in or slip off to the bathroom until the music stops?

A: You lost me at The Bunny Hop :)

Not even for a D3~

Q: talk to me: Do you dream in color?

A: I dream in low resolution, and the colour, if any, is faint.

Q: talk to me: If you were selected to be the photographer on the first manned mission to Mars would you accept the challenge?

A: They would never select me. I don't even know how work a flash, and unless there are cute little flowers on Mars, I'd be useless anyway...

Q: talk to me: Is there anybody there? Does anybody care?

A: Always, but perhaps not always the ones we want to care for us...

Q: talk to me: How tall are you?

A: Somewhere between 5'10" and 5'11"

I used to hate it, but it doesn't bother me any more

Q: talk to me: is any body in there ?

A: Yes, I am just very slow :)

very

very

slow...

Q:talk to me: Ever wonder if your best shot has been taken? What gets you to the next one?

A: I don't think I have a best, or at least it keeps changing (in my opinion)

I never have any problem getting to the next one. It's a question of doing it in a way that does not irritate everyone around me.

I do have a problem with the grim desaturation of winter, though. I lose a lot of inspiration when the sun is cold and bare.

Nikon D300 Photos of Beautfiul Sexy Hot Brunette!

She was a beauty--a gold 45 goddess for sure! A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason.

Modeling the new black & gold & "Gold 45 Revolver" Gold'N'Virtue swimsuits with the main equation to Moving Dimensions Theory on the swimsuits: dx4/dt=ic.

Every photon that hits my Nikon D800e's sensor does it by surfing the fourth expanding dimension, which is moving at c relative to the three spatial dimensions, or dx4/dt=ic!
