Backstory:
I gathered my iPhone, tripod, and remote shutter one evening and went outside to the patio. It had rained earlier, during the day, and the skies remained clouded. I twirled, twisted, and moved about the small space until I had captured several frames.
I rarely have a specific pose or plan. I rather let the artful moments guide me. This insures the results are as much of a surprise to me as they are to the observer.

Today's image was taken in the Wyken area of Coventry. The view is of St Mary Magdalene's Church. The Grade I listed Church was originally built in the 12th Century, making it one of the oldest surviving buildings still in use within the City of Coventry boundary. Of the original building only the main doorway, the nave and chancel survive. The tower was added in the 15th century, as was the roof of the nave. The rest of the church was restored in the 19th century including the addition of the spire to the tower.
The photo was taken using the App KitCam on my iPhone 6.
First I used the app Snapseed to edit the picture. I cropped the image, then I added the Tonal Contrast, HDR Scape and Glamour Glow presets. Next I used the app Mextures to add the preset called Afterglow by Evan Lane. After this I used DistressedFX to add the Citrus overlay and the Lade Texture. Finally I used AltPhoto to add the Creamy Highlights Colour Film preset and frame.
As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App 645 PRO Mk II for iPhone, saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used an app called Leonardo to edit the image. This was done by adjusting the Colour Vibrance and Saturation of the image. I then adjusted the Clarity and Brightness. I also boosted the Sharpness and Shadow Detail of the picture. Next I used Alien Sky to edit the image further. This was done by applying the Futuristic filter to the image to darken the whole scene. Next I added the Double Moon to the sky along with the Halo around the Pylon and a light effect called Chromaring to the top. I also added in the lightning hitting the top of the Pylon for added drama. After that I used Mextures to apply some lighting and texture to the picture. The preset that I applied was called Coates by Michael Tucker. Finally I used PhotoToaster to apply a Soft Dark Vignette to the image along with adding the Shadow frame.
The original photo was taken on some waste ground near to the Railway line a few minutes away from where I live. I thought I would have a little fun today making the image feel more dramatic.
