Treasure the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your good health has vanished.

2004 saw the UK government make public its wish that a large part of the BBC should move outside London, and in 2006 the Salford Quays site was chosen outside Manchester.
Bridge House, Dock House and Quay House are now the homes of some 2,700 BBC staff. It is co-sited with ITV, with whom it shares the use of the largest studios on the site.
The entire centre is one of the largest HDTV programme making facilities in Europe.
The site is the home of BBC Children's (CBeebies and CBBC) and BBC Sport, BBC Radio 5 Live and 6Music, as well as BBC Radio Manchester and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
BBC Breakfast, Match of the Day, Blue Peter, Mastermind, North West Tonight are just some of the programmes which come from MediaCityUK.
MediaCityUK is a 200-acre mixed-use property development on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford and Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The project was developed by Peel Media; its principal tenants are media organisations and the University of Salford. Wikipedia
Mixed media encaustic with my photos, hand-drawn and painted images, India ink, tea-stained linen, found papers. The piece is made from a book cover.
For those who don’t know, encaustic means something that’s covered in wax.
Mixed media encaustic piece on a book cover made with my collaged photos, watercolor paint, India ink, paper ephemera.
This is the most unbelievable artistic process that I have ever done! Can’t believe that I waited so long to dive in and give it a go.
Eight tapered steel fanned masts are the supports for this pedestrian bridge over the Manchester Ship Canal
Once a harbour of Düsseldorf city it is nowadays a mostly renovated area where urban life started over. A lot of innovative small and medium enterprises and start-ups are located here, also some new interesting restaurants and cafés.

Monday evening Andy was taking his daughter to a concert in Manchester and asked if I’d like to go with him and do some photography around Media City to help kill some time while she attended the concert. The weather got increasingly better (it was grey and wet in Hathersage)as we neared Manchester arriving to a fantastic sunset although by the time we got to Media City most of the colour had gone but luckily a few dying embers remained and with perfectly still conditions the reflections over the water looked fabulous so I was really looking forward to getting some images. I set up my camera opposite the BBC buildings and to include the full height I had to shoot with my camera vertical and create a panoramic image of 7 overlapping frames.(Olympus EM-1 mkii 7-14mm f/2.8pro 7 image stitched panoramic 6 secs f/6.3 @ 7mm)
Another photo from Salford Quays, an interesting area with loads of photo opportunities.
An office building I shot in Hudson Square near the SoHo section of lower Manhattan.Hudson Square was once known as the Printing District. It still remains the center of media-related activity as communications, advertising, design, and the arts. The building is near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel,a highway tunnel underneath the Hudson River that connects Manhattan to Jersey City, NJ.I stepped back into the street to to get a wider shot.I like the arrows pointing upwards and shadow play.
