taken on a walk eary morning

Looking Westwards from Tegg's Nose over Macclesfield Common. I would not normally shoot looking in this direction because of the buildings and general urbanisation that would normally be visible... but on this morning from Macclesfield to Warrington and beyond lay below the blanket of thick cloud. The shot was taken just as the sun rose above the horizon behind me and the early light tinged the cloud surface a rosy pink.

Taken a short while ago, in an area of Macclesfield I'd never explored before... Higher Fence Rd. Funny how we can be so familiar with a place yet miss so much of it at the same time!
