These beautiful cows want to welcome you to the Moo gathering
A beautiful day to be out on a drive with the camera not knowing if there would be anything to photograph but at a distance I could see these cows.
It was down a tall grassy hill and a journey through weeds and rusty barb wire fence hoping there was no bull in the group.
Took a few photos of these beauties who I imagine will all have calves next spring.
Have to think of names for these pretty gals at the Moo gathering.
How about names that start with B
The brown and white cow is Bessie....
and the other cows are Blossom, Beatrice, Betsy,
Betty and Bossy.
There are actually seven cows and a contact of mine named it in a box on photo.....

I designed these camera-shaped card-holders to fit the Moo MiniCards I use to promote my food photography sideline.
I've decided to make the cutting file for the camera-shaped Moo MiniCard-holders available online.
If you have access to a Silhouette Cameo cutting machine, you will be able to produce these card-holders yourself.

My grand-daughter said this is a "moo-moo." Therefore, it IS, and forever shall be, a Moo-moo. Photographed on family outing to Deanna Rose Farmstead, Overland Park, Kansas.

My Moo MiniCards arrived!
I've wanted to get some for a while, but starting my 365 and reading Allan's (foshydog) stories about giving them to people, motivated me to finally order them.
They are small, but very cool. It's really neat to see your own photos printed on something. I'm glad I got them and would highly recommend them.

today is my father's birthday. i baked him a cake.
yes, a cow cake. see, he lives his life in a cloud of depression. (i've written about him before, with ghost, war story and we the living.) the most i can do is try and blow some of the fog away for brief respites here and there, by making him laugh. and cows have always made him laugh. when i was a kid, he gave me all his far side books (remember the small horizontal ones?). i still have them.
so this year, for his 63rd birthday, we got him the entire far side collection (two huge clothbound volumes) and a toy cow pillow. and i baked him this cake.
after dinner, as we were cleaning up, he noticed this photo on the shelf. he picked it up and held it, and stared at it. after a long moment he said to me, "where did the time go?" i didn't say anything. i just put down the pile of napkins, went over to him, threw my arms around his shoulders and whispered, "happy birthday, pops."
moo.
Can't wait to get my hands on the moo ice cream! Dad says it is good for me because it's high in calcium. Yum yum...
My flickr time has been sporadic at best. We have just been busy with basketball, birthday, and holiday stuff. I hope everyone is enjoying the season.
Thanks Tera for the moo's!
