This is a shot of a view at our camp site on the lake. I put it up last night then removed it but thought I really like it so put it back. This is a view in the late evening light on the lake. My main focus was the light on the vines on the two pines. You cant even put your arms around these old pines they are too big and old. I would say they are about 80 plus years

Sometimes, this play of light can vary within just a few seconds, so in days where many clouds are fastly moving in the sky, it's a lucky event to capture the sunrays....

After a walk and crawl in the snow covering my knees, came to this place to get a better angle and view of rare light pillar event.
Despite fear (because forest is too close) and freeze, I still managed to get several shots.

After some weeks I'm back with a new pic. My pc broke down and I had to buy a new harddisc---> I lost all my files, photos and my signature that i had on every pic, so I have to redo that one :/
Was a kinda cloudless night yesterday, but like almost everywhere in this country, is too much light.

Last night there were a few of us that went out for a mid week escapade to the bunkers at Malabar Hd.
Here's the first of two shots that I'll be posting. This little bunker sites high on a rocky cliff and overlooks the ocean. We painted this puppy up with a variety of lights and colours.

The evening lighting light provides a beautiful light cast on this old tree.

Photography is nothing more, and nothing less, than light catching. We position ourselves somewhere unique in space-time to capture light with some particular equipment, and then we use other equipment to further process and distribute that light so we and others can see it. At that level distinctions between digital and analog, and between processed and non-processed, become moot. It's all just light catching, and we all do it a little differently. (Explore)
The towers are projected with the names of the two companies which helped fund and power the new lights, General Electric and EDF Energy.
Tower Bridge has had a new lighting system installed ahead of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and Olympic Games. The lights are said to enhance the bridge's architectural features and replace static lights with bulbs that can vary in intensity and colour.
Passers-by will see the system being tested in coming weeks to prepare for lighting displays planned for key moments of the Games.
In total 1,800 special energy-efficient LED lights have been fitted, along with 2,000 metres of energy-efficient LED linear lights, 5,000 metres of cable and 1,000 junction boxes. The lighting system is expected to be in place for 25 years.
The two towers stand 213ft high holding the central span 200ft between them. The pedestrian walkway sits 143ft above the waters.
The world-famous bridge over the Thames will gleam white to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

Light that you can feel. Light that makes you go "holy cow I gotta get out of the way". Light that you just have to capture.
Couple of out takes from the weekend attempts at light painting.
For this one, I had previously made a light wand with a cold cathode tube. It's quite a good tool, I'm just not sure what I'm doing with it.
I have to point out here that the wand is white only, the rainbow was added in PS!
This was just one of a series of test shots I took whilst playing with a light sabre. I was looking to see what effects they produced. I quite liked this one so I posted it. I dont like the fact this one makes a noise. I may try and disconnect the speaker leads.

The Alien Bee with Ring Flash modifier locates at the left hand side to provide the soft lighting, the fill flash of SB900 with Lumiquest Softbox III located at right hand side with CTO gel to create the back and highlight for the sculpture.
