i've been craving a little more zoom lately, leading me to looking up the nikon 200-400 f4. i'm renting one soon and i'm scared it will be so good i'll have to buy one..
Double exposure.
Set up:
1 glass of wine, 1 candle. Taken using 50mm lens (aperture f/1.8) and 12, 20 & 36mm kenko extension tubes, backlit by candle.
I saw a wonderful circle my friend Eda made so decided to try it by myself. It is so contageous that I think I'll make many more Lol.... I know it is another way to make them as my flickr friend Sue did but this way is still too difficult for me, this much easier way is great for beginners. Sue, I hope I will be able to do those like yours very soon.

Bass Harbor Light is one of the East Coast's most iconic locations for photographers. And with good reason: A lighthouse perched on a rocky cliff, reflecting pools, huge multi-colored granite blocks, crashing surf...what more could a photographer ask for?
As much as I love this spot, it took a number of trips over five years before I was lucky enough to catch a sunset that was equal to the setting.
Have a great weekend!

Lights in the street by the harbour.
I get obsessed sometimes by patterns,shadows...hope you like this series ;)
As the last light of day reflects off the grave makers of our Veteran’s that so honorably served our county; it seems fitting that from where they lie, they can watch over those they protected who are unsuspectingly driving by, and get to look out over a western horizon ...to a colorfully warm sun-setting sky.
The scene was taken at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery which looks west over Dallas County and Interstate 80.

(SOOC) The image was taken: Canon 7D, 18mm, f8.0, ISO 100, 20 second exposure. The light trails could be achieved at about 13 seconds but to include the graves it took the full 20 seconds
I love the way the sunlight glimmers on the water. Taken just outside the Merkister Hotel looking over Harray Loch
This LED light tunnel close to King's Cross station London changes it's colors all the time, including a monochrome-grey variation.
__________
I want to say thank you to Giuliana for the testimonial using this image where light is protagonist so that I can express a double appreciation: one for the very nice words she wanted to write and the other for her style in photography where light is almost magic (there will be a reason if her nickname is “Light photography”).
Beams of Light.........I can honestly say that this may have been once of the most incredible displays of light that I have seen. It's been a year since I captured this scene and I still remember the day like it were yesterday. Jave, Alan C. and myself couldn't believe the light that was unfolding in front of our eyes. I stood at the edge of Steptoe Butte in awe. I only was able to capture 3 images of this scene, the image you see here, this one and another image that was horrible! Believe me, you wouldn't want to see that train wreck of an image! But looking back, it was a wonderful experience, and an experience that I am thankful that I was able to capture with my camera, and one that I can share with you. Peace and Love.
