I did a lot of Lightroom processing on this one and finally settled on this version with muted colours and a strong contrast between light and shadow.
Taken from Orwell Road Bridge over the River Dodder.

I love the way the late afternoon sunlight is filtering through the japanese maple tree leaves in my front yard. The leaves are a pretty purplish with green but look almost golden in the sun. I don't really know how to make a predictably good shot into the sun like this. I try several camera settings and see what comes of it. I liked this one and also how it turned out with some edits in Lightroom.

I went down to the park at 3 in the morning to do this. It was absolutely freezing but great fun!
I love the way the sparks bounce after hitting the ground.

This is taken in one of my favorite meadows alongside a busy road in Sonora, California...there is much industrial building taking place along this road and I know one of these days these beautiful Oak trees and meadow will probably someday be developed...it always makes me sad to see these types of place disappear, sometime sit seems the whole world will be paved over one day....
