When you have come to the edge Of all light that you know And are about to drop off into the darkness Of the unknown, Faith is knowing One of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or You will be taught to fly

I posted a coloured version of this some time ago and [https://www.flickr.com/photos/bigwade] said he would like to see a B&W version.
Dappled light on the little rowing boat that takes you over the River Dee to the island and Threave Castle. A beautiful morning at Threave Castle, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway.

The light flooding through Glen Coe as sunset approaches. Looking from high up on Beinn a'Chrulaiste down on Buachaille Etive Mor and surrounding Glen Coe.
Image made a couple of weeks ago on our mini break in Glencoe.

Playing with an older image here, I still had some more ideas for this one, but not the time to do them yet.

Trying to learn about shooting with nd filters........Didn't notice the lighting changes in the scene till later......
Cold wind of autumn, blowing loud
At dawn, a fortnight overdue,
Jostling the doors, and tearing through
My bedroom to rejoin the cloud,
I know—for I can hear the hiss
And scrape of leaves along the floor—
How may boughs, lashed bare by this,
Will rake the cluttered sky once more.
Tardy, and somewhat south of east,
The sun will rise at length, made known
More by the meagre light increased
Than by a disk in splendour shown;
When, having but to turn my head,
Through the stripped maple I shall see,
Bleak and remembered, patched with red,
The hill all summer hid from me.
