Its always fun to see these Lapland Longspurs on the Tundra and witness there aerial flight displays as they flutter there wings and then float back down to rest.

Breeding plumage indicate that breeding and nesting is eminent. Just need a few warm days for the snow to melt and reveal the tundra .
Temperatures below -20°C are fine when the air is dry. Here, the fog produced an interesting soft light but is also flash froze everything including the camera and even my eyelashes (see photo below).
