So walking there I was wishing for: Good tide, Nice Light, No photographer at the wreck...well almost! ;)
My first attempt with the 'ball of light'. This was made with a torch, since plan A miserably failed. A young friend of mine is inside the sphere.

Behold the candle, how it gives light.
It weeps its life away drop by drop in order to give forth its flame of light...

this is another one from the same experiment of two lens joined together. This is a dew drop on a blade of grass,....i got my clothes all wet getting this shot. Straight of the camera, just cropped and water marked with picnik.
I don't do winter. This was taken as the winter days got longer and warmer and the spring finally arrived again...

A kindling point is the lowest temperature at which it will spontaneously ignite in a normal atmosphere without an external source of ignition, such as a flame or spark.
Something about the processing is bothering me, but I can't quite put my finger on it. It has been sooo hot in Georgia lately.

This was taken a little while ago where my daughter wanted me to take her pic and she pretty much took control of the photoshoot, doing her own poses and choosing her own outfit. The pics were taken indoor, in the evening with only the light from the ceiling illuminating her. The pics sat for a long time not knowing what to do with them, trying different techniques but I didn't want to give up. Till I saw the work of Fabio Selvatici and saw the similarity in the pose and lighting.

Kindle for iPhone is a free download from the App Store.
You can't buy Kindle books with this app. Instead, you have to register your Amazon account via the app then shop via Safari. Once you fire up Kindle for iPhone again, it syncs with your Amazon Kindle account.
Who needs a Kindle now? ;)
#108/365 Well I'm not one to rehash old idea, buts a friend came over and brought his new Amazon Kindle 2 e-book reader. It was so sweet that I wanted to take a shot of it and since he was on his way out I thought I'd try this again (I also didn't think the Kindle and a bokeh background would go together). This thing is pretty cool...one of the best features is it has is own wirelss service so you can download a new book from amazon anywhere at anytime! Go GO D40 + Kit lens!!!
(P.S. Amazon if you see this, I'll sell you a copy)

Really hope to be taking more pictures soon. :) Both of this little girl.. and also an MSD girl i have coming home soon. I cannot wait. I am still around Flickr friends! Don't forget me! hehe.
She finally has a name! FYI, not named after the book device :P
It's funny, now i've sold three of the four dolls I wanted to sell, I have the funds....and can't decide which doll/dolls to buy! I also have to stay away from clothes websites.
I've been editing this since this morning and I honestly really don't like it. This is me in my kitchen with my kindle, which I love dearly. I edited this with one of Sara Ann Loreth's actions which was lovely. I just feel that the picture is missing something and I feel like I officially suck at editing. ;) whatever. ;p
*Update: Thanks to snjscuba for his wonderful suggestions and observations. He mentioned the contradition between the vintage tones and modern device which I thought was an excellent point. He also suggested making it even more vintage by adding maybe a few scratches. After re-editing I have to admit I am much more pleased with this image. I added a few textures and a little contrast and a pink fill to add to the vintage feel. Thank you so much snjscuba.
