“Heaven knows we need never be ashamed of our tears, for they are rain upon the blinding dust of earth, overlying our hard hearts. I was better after I had cried, than before--more sorry, more aware of my own ingratitude, more gentle.”

The town of Lahinch sits on the western coastline of Ireland and is surprisingly known as a surfing town with a very good golf course!

More off- Holiday

The Irish Hills are located outside of San Luis Obispo, California. Happy Fence Friday.

Lahinch on the west coast of Ireland is famous for its golf course but it is also very popular with the surfers.

Peat (turf) is an accumulation of partially decayed vegetation that is unique to natural areas called peatlands. Peatlands are also known as bogs in Ireland. Peat is harvested as an important source of fuel in certain parts of the world such as in Ireland.

This photo shows peat being loaded onto a tractor for distribution. The land to the left is a bog.

Sliabh Liag, sometimes Slieve League or Slieve Liag, is a mountain on the Atlantic coast of County Donegal, Ireland. At 596 metres, it has some of the highest sea cliffs on the island of Ireland. Although less famous than the Cliffs of Moher in County Clare, Slieve League's cliffs reach almost three times higher.

Irish Proverb

I had to make a record of the very first time I prepared an Irish coffee (actually two, as you can see). I went to the Internet and found a video by Jameson explaining how I should do it, and why the add-ons. So I bought the ingredients and one fine morning set mysef to work and here is the result. Two most delicious drinks that left me craving for more. All the ingredients are in sight: nutmeg, vanilla pod (to row a bit in the end), the Irish whiskey (Jameson in this case), the coffee (no expresso as they suggest, but home made, for lack of any better - nonetheless, Delta for home machines is a really tasty one), and cream. I used the spices from Schwartz, which I had bought in Manchester, in 2017, for my collection of these flasks, because they were the ones I had available, not by any trademark preference, or whatever. I collect these flasks because they are useful and I found the design nicer at one time (there is a photo somewhere in my stream with my collection). As for how to prepare it, I am no expert and suggest you look for the video Jameson placed in YouTube. They are the experts on their products, not I. I just loved the result.

I made a few shots trying different aperture and distances as possible, trying to avoid reflections on the bottle, etc, using two cameras, a Canon 6D and a 7D MkII, hoping for the best results, photographing from both inside the room and from outside, at the window. Here is one of the best results.

Dedicated to my great-grandparents, Timothy & Ann, who once lived in Dublin. Your Irish blood still runs strong in me today Xx

Irland / Ireland / County Tipperary

Ireland has a lot to offer visitors and holidaymakers. The County Tipperary region in particular shows Ireland from its most original side. The County Tipperary is located in the heart of the country surrounded by numerous mountains, so depending on the region you can find lush valleys in picturesque landscapes and dreamlike lakes invite you to linger.
