Just a few steps from the beach, this marina is my preferred location; it's more peaceful and less crowded. When dusk falls, all is tempered in Honolulu.

The water in Honolulu, Hawaii, is incredibly clear and blue. When I looked down in the water from the seawall, there were dozens of very colorful tropical fish swimming around. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good angle for a photo. I did manage to get a pretty good angle for the harbor though.

Ha ha, no. This was the last stop on my "Around the World in 40 Days" trip. In 6 weeks i managed to visit 18 cities within 9 countries in 4 continents (not including Australia). A little ambitious but i wouldn't change a thing.
I still have a few photos that i'll be uploading, but this marks the end...so sad. Thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting!

We spent one day in Honolulu. It was January 20 and we attended a breakfast with a bunch of joyous Hawaiians watching and celebrating the inauguration of Barack Obama. This was the view just outside the restaurant.
The beautiful sunset from the top floor of the Hilton Rainbow Tower in Honolulu, Hawaii. Waikiki Beach is to the left.
Taken at Ala Moana Beach Park at the beginning of last Saturday’s phototrek. Man I gotta get out more often!
Hope you all are having a damn fine Wedensday!

7.Lips or eyes: Eyes, 100%!! With someone’s eyes you can send and receive so much. It’s like your hearts “wifi” connection. Hahaha!

Do you believe in:
9.Yourself: Absolutely! I believe I am far from perfect. I believe I am going to make mistakes. I believe I will overcome them. I believe I lack confidence. I believe I can do something about it!
10. Miracles: Yes, I wouldn’t be here without it.
11.Love at first sight: Yes, and this defies a lot about my logic. But love wouldn’t be what it is, if it had too much of what’s logical, and less of what’s magical.
12.Heaven: Uncertain. I live my life the best I can, and hope that counts for something in the end.
I'm running an "open" tag system here. ; ) Feel free to continue this!

"Eh Kimo, we not in 'Nalo anymoah..."
(my local take on the classic line, LOL)
Taken from my living room through the window.
The twin tornado/waterspouts just a few hundred yards off of the shore near downtown Honolulu/Waikiki. Although they are rare, we do get the occasional funnel cloud. But, in my 22 years here, I have never seen one (or two for that matter) as spectacular as this. Eventually, they merged into a single, thicker one... but not before dancing and spinning around each other in what appeared to be beautiful, natural choreography!
Also of note, NO damage or injuries occured at all from this, so feel free to marvel at the power of mother nature.
Let's see...
- Earthquakes (check)
- Tsunamis (check)
- Volcanic Eruptions (check)
- Hurricanes (check)
- Floods (check)
- Tornados.... (jeeeeeez, OK, CHECK!!!)

Another from the same trip where I took this photo. Just as before, I'm re-rendering this with PS CS5, instead of my trusty Photomatix. Poof: ghosts are gone! Significantly better alignment! But yes, much slower - and tone processing is far more difficult.
This photo: nothing I'm that excited about, except for the golden light. I really liked that...
