I shot this dragon during Chinese New Year celebrations in Paris' Chinatown.

Happy Chinese New Year, my friend!

I could not yet visit your stream due to the busy schedule entertaining guests.

After the second day of Chinese New Year, I would be flying to Cambodia and join all my kids to visit a village.

This whole month will be busy travelling to Cambodia. Non of the weekends is spared. But I enjoy it and I find it fruitful working on projects. What amused me most is, the project teams even arranged bodyguards to be with us. Why need that ? haha...crazy

Must see 'Chinese New Year Parade - Orton' On Black

I used my 3-Layer Orton process:

Brightness boosted by 35%

copy twice

blur top 20 pixels

hide blur on the lanterns by painting on the layer's mask

group the top two layers

-didn't flatten so I can go back later

multiply with the bottom layer at 85%

See the video tutorial for more information on 3-layer Orton processing.

I was really glad I decided to go to both Chinese New Year parades this year. Yesterday was especially amazing-not just because of crowd size but also because it always reaffirms your faith in your city and country when you see people of all races and religions playing together, laughing together, standing together, walking together...and no one afraid because when we don't understand, we are ready to learn. This country can be an amazing country every day. I hope the Year of the Rooster will make us all stronger together.

Gong xi fa cai or Happy Chinese New Year 2015!

This year is the year of the goat 羊, also known as the year of the sheep.

The goat is the 8th sign in the Chinese zodiac. People born under the sign are thought to be patient, kind and obedient although those virtues are not necessarily thought to be good for success. Many believe people born in the year of the sheep/goat are destined to be followers and not leaders.
