Storm cells now cresting to the northeast. This cell would go on to produce 2 more tornadoes in adjoining counties to the northwest of Buffalo county .

Though my chase was done for the day, I don't hesitate to stick around to capture some mother natures beautiful cloudscapes! Or should I say stormscapes!

SHIP AND SUNSET IS BEST IN ORIGINAL SIZE.

On 10 June 2011 at. 2355 I was on the road over the bridge which connects Aalborg and Nørresundby. The photo was taken from above the bridge itself, which still despite midnight was a lot of traffic. I had expected shake when recording was 15 sec. The weather was warm and windless. The sunset is still visible to the west. Once guests on the ship even though it is now past midnight.

On 13 June 1931 dubbed Her Royal Highness Princess Juliana of the Netherlands the new training ship from "Onderwijsfonds" (Dutch maritime training organization). "Princess Juliana" was built at the shipyard "Gideon" by Mr J. Koster HZN. in Groningen.

This boat would make "Onderwijsfonds" able to increase the level of training for inland waterways and canals in the Netherlands.

The new training vessel that was equipped with a then modern cruiser, was rigged as a schooner tomastet and equipped with a highly modern Ørtz patents think.

The ship's engine was 150 hp and made of pure bronze. When fully loaded motor, sail, was expected a rate of 9 miles.

In late 1931, the vessel was put into service, but due to a rapid increase in student numbers, you were forced to expand and improve the cabins.

The reconstruction was also carried out of the yard "Gideon" and the ship was also extended from 32.40 to 38.85 meters.

Princess Juliana served as a training ship until 1969, when more modern Dutch school ships took over.

However, there was a break during the second World War, when the ship was used for the accommodation of German officers. The 31 December 1969, the ship was laid up, and 10 March 1970 the ship was sold.

Subsequently, it has served as a restaurant ship.

"Princess Juliana" has sailed under several captains. It fell to Captain Solomon from "Prins Hendrik", to get the honor of bringing in "Princess Juliana" from the yard, and he remained at the helm until 1948. Then it was D. G. Spuyman 1948 - 1959, P. C. Noordhoek (replacement) 1959-1960, RD Houtman 1960 to 1963, R. vd Huizen 1963 - 1965, W. Bos 1965 - 1966, H. Klootsema 1966-1970.

By the end of spring has come again "captains" of Princess Juliana, the ship was restored. The princess had after a lifetime of 75 years of badly needed a facelift inside and out.

This renovation project took about. 10 months from June 2006 to April 2007. There will be continuously carried out improvements and changes to the ship, so that comfort and quality are paramount ....

".... And Princess Juliana now live happily on as floating restaurant with permanent berth at the Western Harbour Promenade in Aalborg".

Here on the Ship are often Fashion Shows!

I have eaten there several times and everything is superb excellent!

"Everybody has to leave this train for Hogwards..."

Goathland (that's the real name of this lovely trainstation) was the location, where 'Hogsmeade' was filmed in the HP-movies.

A real nice place, where you can take a train ride through wonderful Yorkshire....

BEST IN FULL SCREEN.

A few months ago I was allowed to come up in a private apartment on the 4th floor near the Restaurant Ship JULIANA, but it was only at full moon last night that the situation appeared to be present, full moon, calm, clear weather, and of course to the apartment the owner was present. It did last night late, where I took some pictures. It's wishful thinking that there should be a bunch of people in front of the entrance to the ship, but when the recording is 15 sec., It would probably not be as good anyway.

The afterglow of the sunset can still be seen in the background in the water and buildings.

You have to be able to appreciate these things. How many people can say it was a full moon last night and appreciate it?

It was only at full moon last night that the situation appeared to be present, full moon, calm, clear weather, and of course to the apartment the owner was present. It did last night late, where I took some pictures. It's wishful thinking that there should be a bunch of people in front of the entrance to the ship, but when the recording is 15 sec., It would probably not be as good anyway.

".... And Princess Juliana now live happily on as floating restaurant with permanent berth at the Western Harbour Promenade in Aalborg"

I have eaten there several times and everything is superb excellent!

One of the hottest trains on the Santa Fe was the 991 from Richmond, CA to Chicago, IL. At times the train terminated in Barstow, CA and the trailers were forwarded east on the QLANY. The train rated 4.4 hp per ton and today's version was relatively short. Thus only four units were needed to haul this consist through the Tehachapis.

The Biber (German for "beaver") was a German midget submarine of the Second World War. Armed with two externally mounted 21-inch (53 cm) torpedoes or mines, they were intended to attack coastal shipping. They were the smallest submarines in the Kriegsmarine.

The Biber was hastily developed to help meet the threat of an Allied invasion of Europe. This resulted in basic technical flaws that, combined with the inadequate training of their operators, meant they never posed a real threat to Allied shipping, despite 324 submarines being delivered. One of the class's few successes was the sinking of the cargo ship Alan A. Dale.

A number have survived in museums including one example that has been restored to operational condition.

Construction of the first prototype began in February 1944 and was completed in less than 6 weeks. The initial prototype was officially titled Bunteboot (but better known as Adam) was heavily influenced by the British Welman submarine. It differed from the final design in a number of respects such as being nearly 2 meters shorter. Following testing on the Trave river on 29 May twenty four Bibers were ordered.

The hull was built in three sections composed of 3 mm thick steel with an aluminium alloy conning tower bolted to the top. The conning tower contained armoured glass windows to allow the pilot to see out. The hydroplanes and rudder were made of wood and trying to control them while tracking the depth gauge, compass and periscope made the craft hard to handle. Adding to the pilot’s difficulties, the craft lacked compensating and trimming tanks, making staying at periscope depth a near impossibility. The Biber had two diving tanks one in the bow section and one in the stern.

The submarine could be armed with either two TIIIc torpedoes with neutral buoyancy (achieved by limiting the number of batteries on board), mines or a mixture of the two.

The Biber was powered on the surface by a 32 hp (24 kW) Otto blitz petrol engine which was used despite concerns about the risks posed by the carbon monoxide the engine gave off. The engine had the advantage of being cheap and available in large numbers. Propulsion while submerged was provided by a 13 horse power electric motor powered by three Type T13 T210 battery troughs.

The Missabe South Dispatcher Keenan has green boards for the 213 as far as Nopeming Jct. along with a track warrant up the Spirit Lake Branch, allowing the crew to tie up at Proctor just after dark on 12/8/02. Consist was a normal looking DM&IR 213, 408, and 203 as the Missabe liked to use one of the regular 7000 hp PRS sets on this move, even if there wasn't much tonnage to move.
