Manual HDR blending
I took the original JPG capture and manually created 3 exposures, then in Photomatrix I Generated a HDR, then had a play with tone mapping and the above shot is the result the shot below is the original capture. I would appreciate honest opinions please !!! If it crap then please say it is crap.
One thing I know you will say is... to shoot Raw shots and expose in the field, I do tend to have a go at this at some point in time. The above is just me experimenting before I take the plunge.
One question the top right corner seems quite dark the original shot was taken using a polarizing filter is this the reason and should you use a filter when intending to do HDR's.
Just thought I would try another hdr since I hadn't experimented with it as much as I would like. This is actually a combination of 8 shots.

With so many different (and nice) rocks scattered around the shoreline i decided on an HDR image to help give them a lift as it was still very contrasty.Its been a while since i last did one so i figured you lot wouldn't mind :)
I may have overcooked it a bit but i still like it,so there :)

This is the calm after the storm, if you look at the next picture in my stream. That was taken in the storm which was the evening before this morning shot !!!
You cannot see on this image, but around the back of the lighthouse in a cradle near the top are the painters !
