This is the tale of a wandering afternoon in the eternal city, Rome; I was leaving the Trastevere district toward the Tevere river, was the hour around the sunset, and the day wasn't one of the best I ever seen in Rome. But when I crossed the Garibaldi Bridge I've been hit by this view meanwhile I recalled someone sentence about me that bring the clouds with me during my travels. As usual I was with my loyal Nikon D810 and the wideangle; then, these are my clouds over Rome.

Two hikers in an truly dangerous place; an extreme path over the Mont Blanc, the blue ice and the clouds behind the rocks let undestand how difficult can be this sport.

Three excursionists are crossing the glacier of the Mont Blanc on the border between Italy and France. The fantastic weather conditions allowed me to shoot this highly contrast image from Punta Helbronner. To my eyes everything is in an armonic contrast, the dark shadows of the clouds on the dazzling white snow, the little and short living human facing the huge and eternal mountain and a small soft cloud covering the rocky Tooth of the Giant.

Some nice clouds over the beach of Lacona, in the Elba Island, Italy. An opportunity to install the circular polarizer and do some shots...

I'm looking through a hole in the sky

I'm seeing nowhere through the eyes of a lie

I'm getting closer to the end of the line

I'm living easy where the sun doesn't shine

This is an HDR wide angle view of the Grand Canyon made with correcting the distortion of a fisheye lens to obtain this singular effect.

Isn't it strange?

It is extremely and exceedingly difficult…

…to render with just one shot the whole complexity and richness of detail which are in Canyonlands. The land is made with canyons inside canyons, spires over spires, silhouettes, mesas, buttes, and everything the nature, the wind and the water have molded in aeons. When a visitor gets to Grand View Point gets some difficulties with the “vast” concept. I had to stitch toghether several photos to try to build a panoramic view of what I want to show you, the result is a huge image (17000 x 4300 pixels, printable up to 6 meters wide), then zooming into it, it is possible to see some of the detail I was describing before. Print it on a wall and you’ll get a gigantic window over Canyonlands.

This is what happens doing a long exposition on a cloudy sky at 2000mt OSL. The place looks like Iceland or a similar place but it is Italy, on the Valley of the "Piccolo Sanbernardo". Looks strange enough?
