"The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continued their indiscriminate attacks in the Gaza Strip for the sixteenth consecutive day, with the estimated number of victims rising to 884. During the reporting period, IOF attacks were most ferocious in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip, where Palestinian civilians continued to be killed indiscriminately. The killing of children has become a characteristic of the attacks in both these areas. The increasing number of civilian victims, especially children and women, and the continuing use of excessive lethal force against civilians and their property, indicates that IOF is aiming to cause maximum deaths of Palestinian civilians and destruction of their property.
Scenes of death and destruction in the Gaza Strip are now reminiscent of the massacres perpetrated in the Sabra, Shatilla and Qana refugee camps in Lebanon in 1982. The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) has a dedicated team of field workers, whose ongoing investigations indicate that IOF are employing weapons which may be internationally prohibited in order to attack civilians in densely populated area throughout the Gaza Strip. These weapons include bombs that detonate before landing, dispersing flaming shrapnel which is causing intense burning of skin down to the bone, and thus destroys limbs. IOF have also deployed bombs that release dense, toxic smelling white smoke that has caused suffocation and fainting amongst victims."

The Gaza Strip, or simply Gaza, is a self-governing Palestinian territory on the east coast of the Mediterranean Sea, that borders Egypt on the southwest for 11 kilometers and Israel on the east and north along a 51 km border. Gaza and the West Bank are claimed by the only de jure sovereign State of Palestine.

This is Icecream factory owner from Gaza City eating his own icecream. He had a huge problem with his product as there is no regular electricity so shops can't buy icecream because freezers don't work.

I created this posters to show solidarity with the people of Palestine and in particular Gazans in their struggles under military occupation. The design was created to mark the one-year anniversary of the Israeli attack on Gaza for the Gaza Freedom March.
The International Coalition to End the Illegal Siege of Gaza formed after Israel's 22-day assault on Gaza in winter 2008-09. To mark the one-year anniversary of the Israeli attack the coalition is mobilizing an international contingent for a nonviolent march alongside the people of Gaza on Jan. 1, 2010, in order to end the illegal blockade.
The coalition conceives this march as part of a broader strategy to end the Israeli occupation by targeting nonviolently its flagrant violations of international law from the house demolitions and settlements to the curfews and torture.

White Flag Deaths
(Jerusalem) - During Israel's recent Gaza offensive, Israeli soldiers unlawfully shot and killed 11 Palestinian civilians, including five women and four children, who were in groups waving white flags to convey their civilian status, Human Rights Watch said in a report released today. The Israeli military should conduct thorough, credible investigations into these deaths to tackle the prevailing culture of impunity, Human Rights Watch said.
The 63-page report, "White Flag Deaths: Killings of Palestinian Civilians during Operation Cast Lead," is based on field investigations of seven incident sites in Gaza, including ballistic evidence found at the scene, medical records of victims, and lengthy interviews with multiple witnesses - at least three people separately for each incident.
"We spent seven to nine minutes waving the flags, and our faces were looking at them [the soldiers]," said the grandmother, who was shot twice. "And suddenly they opened fire and the girls fell to the ground."
“I want to understand whether I did something wrong to Israel to be punished like this.”
